Pak Su Seafood Restaurant, located by the tranquil seaside in Kuantan, remains a notable dining destination. My recent visit, after a two-year hiatus, revealed a consistency in food quality, though there is still much room for improvement, particularly in their signature stuffed crab dish. While travelers may find this dish fascinating and unique, it might not resonate as strongly with local taste buds, especially for those accustomed to more intricate or refined flavors.
The restaurant’s charm lies in its location, with the gentle sea breeze adding a touch of serenity to the dining experience—particularly pleasant during cooler weather. The place is clean and well-maintained, and the staff’s polite demeanor enhances the overall experience. However, parking can be a challenge during peak seasons, as the open-space parking lot tends to fill quickly.
Though prices are slightly on the higher side, they reflect the standards the restaurant aims to uphold. For locals and seasoned food explorers, while the setting and service are commendable, the flavors might leave room for deeper innovation to truly captivate this audience.
In summary, Pak Su Seafood Restaurant continues to attract diners with its ambiance and consistent standards, but refining the flavor profiles of its dishes, particularly the stuffed crab, could broaden its appeal even further. It’s a spot worth visiting, especially for its scenic seaside charm.

Read moreThe food was average. Nice view at the seaside I would say. However, service was really bad. When we walk in, they ignore us as if we are invisible or something. Too busy huh? Not even a greeting or something juz ignoring. We just find a place and sit. Waited for a few mins till the menu is given, goodness sake they still realize we're there. The time taken between the first and second dish to be served was extremely long, at least a ten mins, till the dish on the table is literally finished... Served the wrong dish still expecting us to accept it? They state that the chef cooked the wrong dish and asked if we would accept it and we said no, then they came back and said the original ones went out of stock and asked us again if we would accept? Like wha? Suspect that was a lie but anyways we juz accept it. We're a small group with just two adults and kids, and they served us a big fish with 1200g which cost rm100, which we couldn't finish, is your servings based on minimum spend per table??? Funny. Payment, they add on peanuts and we tissue fres which didn't even use it haha. Anyways they got us another new receipt. I've been to this restaurant quite a few times back then, and this time we decided not to come back anymore. For a Chinese Restaurant 叫菜吃饭, RM40/pax was too over for place in such a small town that is near the sea. Even KL restaurants doesn't charge till this. Hope for...
