Be transported to a different world when you’re approaching this Malay “Kampung” (village). If you like the lush greenery, you’ll notice the spread of greens by the river on the way to this location. Upon reaching, you’ll notice the even more laidback environment as if you’re transported to another world like “Spirited Away” but with the touch of local Malay culture in Ipoh. As someone who loves Indonesian food and hidden gems with a view, I’ve rated this place 5/5. Not only with the authenticity of cuisine, but the ambience that demonstrates how the definition of locals are. You’ll find the combination of Indonesian and Malaysian while eating here. I had the Ayam Penyet which comes with really good sambal (chilli) just like those you’ll find in Indonesia - trust me, I’ve been to Indonesia several times that I can guarantee it is that good. I also had the Bakso daging (boiled meatballs) which is decent too. Then I end the meal with their version of “Es Teller” (ice mix fruit) just like in Indonesia. My only disappointment is my glass of Malaysian “Teh Ais” which isn’t even froth and diluted. I would usually go for the Sosro Teh Botol but they’re out of stock at the time I visited. With the fragrant sweet jasmine tea, it would be truly an authentic Indonesian experience despite being in Ipoh, Malaysia. Expect having a hard time looking for a parking although there’s 2-3 reserve lots next to the eatery. I recommend driving a small car to this place as the roads nearby can be narrow. While their current menu is suffice for a small eatery like this, it would be so nice if they could add/create Indonesian version of Bakmie. Here’s an idea if the owner is reading this. I’ve had this version of bakmie using beef tallow that top with deep fried tallows. It’s in one of my few reviews here I’ve written for Google maps, from Sanur, Bali. I would definitely coming back again for my Ayam Penyet & Bakso cravings. While today’s visit is kinda spontaneous, needed a good break from my mental exhaustion - the view and atmosphere really does do me good from this visit.

Kedai bakso yg comey di tepi lombong, ala2 view tasik. Di kampung seri kinta. Nk masuk ke kdai kne masuk lorong rumah2 org skit..ada parking space yg agak luas jgk so xprlu parking tepi2 jalan. Menu utama bakso..mcm2 jenis bakso .sedap juga tpi kuah sup xde rse daging mcm bakso indon tu. Mi ayam pon sdap..ayam penyet pon ok la. Ais buah mcm sedap tpi belum sempat try..slalu g wktu ptg jam 3 , agak panas jgk gerai ni. Mgkin kerana lokasinya ditepi lombong.
