Chapman's Bar — Restaurant in Perak

We came to Chapman’s Bar at around 12pm but the bar was packed, so we were asked to wait at the beach lounge chairs. We were told that one of the staff would call us once a table became available. We waited for ONE HOUR before we were seated, and that was after we asked one of the staff whether the table was ready, TWICE. No one came to notify us, and we found out that several people had already cut the queue, probably because we weren’t there, because we were asked to wait somewhere else by one of the staff. My wife ordered the Chapman’s burger and only got her order 40 minutes later. So on top of waiting for one hour for the table, she had to wait for ANOTHER 40 mins for the food to arrive. Yes, we did prompt the staff a few times on when the food will arrive. I’d already finished my meal long before my wife’s food came. The staff apologized and sent us fruit platter & juice drinks, but it was a bit too late, isn’t it. We don’t recommend coming here especially when there is a lot of crowd. This restaurant cum bar is at Emeralds Bay in Pangkor Laut Island. The Banana Leaf rice is a popular item here and is good. Though there are various curry sauce and chillies given, they were mild in hotness. Don't miss the ' resam' that comes with it. It is very tasty and not too sour. The vegetables were nicely cooked and so were the masala chicken. The fish curry was delicious too. The other item which we had was the grilled seafood with sambal. Nice and fresh prawns, cuttlefish and fish were cooked just right with sambal sauce. The lunch package ended with a dessert each of ice kacang and cendol. Just a perfect cool ending...

Usually restaurant by the beach is mostly for the ambiance but Chapman's bar excel bar excel in food service and atmosphere

Service is very good. Waiters are passionate, happy and of course happy staffs make happy customers. I joked if the desert is not good can change? Immediately they day of course. Now how often u get that kind of service
