This was our first visit to this outlet specialising in "Laksa" Perak style. We've been patronising Laksa "Sarang" Pokok Limau, Laksa Lempor, Laksa Lembah (famous 'Food Joint' for Cendol/ABC/Laksa... etc.. by the Perak River waterfront in Kuala Kangsar) but never tried this joint which serves "Laksa Tepung/Beras". On this occasion we came to KKangsar to visit our sisters'-in-law; one in Tmn Kenari n the other in Beluru. It was while in Beluru that Google Map located for us 'Laksa Lubuh' being much nearer than if we try the route thru the H'way from KKangsar town to Grik. However, upon almost reaching the place... due "Internet signal lost" we relied on the locals to guide us. For ardent lovers of Laksa there's a difference between Laksa Tepung n Laksa Beras. We all ordered the former though as expected the "gravy (kuah)" in Perak is more watery (chayo) than those in town or in Klang Valley. They use less "fish meat" in their 'gravy'. Before leaving we ordered 1kg of Laksa to take home. This time with Google Maps assistace we tried the alternate exit route which shorten the journey back towards Town by entering the KKangsar-Grik H'way. Our 3d2N stay in KK also allowed us to visit our bedridden bro-in-law who not long after our arrival he was ferried by Ambulance to the KK Hospital and later was transferred to...

The stall famous for laksa but i personally think that it was not worth the vibes. You can find better laksa elsewhere. Laksa taste is normal but the soup is too watery. Not enough fish blend inside the soup. I ordered 1 big and 1 small bowl of laksa and 1 set of chicken nugget. Laksa comes with boiled eggs( found out it was an optional), condiments of bird eyes chilli and otak udang. The nugget taste close to nothing. I think they using cheap chicken nugget.
The stall also lack of hygiene. I saw the from the drink section when they making ice blended, just using bare hand touching the blended ice. The same bare hand without washing, will touch everywhere. They should introduce hand glove to their worker for handling food.
The price of food is reasonable. For big bowl of laksa only cost you RM6 while small at RM4. Add an egg will cost you extra RM1.
Overall if you want to spend an evening in lubok merbau, maybe you can give this stall a try but if you are looking for real laksa, there are so many stall selling...

Accompanied by her partner in crime, who brought along a cooler box from Shah Alam with the intention to tapau some laksa home, they went through the narrowly winding dirt roads in the kampung, and almost got lost!! Luckily, the kampung folks were ever so helpful, and pointed them to the right direction... At the said location, they immediately ordered 4 kgs of laksa to take home, and a bowl each to eat. My wife was so focused and engrossed with the laksa that she totally didnt realize that her cousin was sitting at the very next table!! That's what laksa lubuk does to...
