We dined in uncle lim’s kitchen during our stay in Pangkor Laut Resort. The restaurant has breathtaking sea view and cozy interior, a truly great first impression. It’s great to have an open kitchen but sadly uncle lim’s is a little messy and unorganized. We ordered few dishes as recommended, portion is fair, taste is average. Highly recommended fried oyster is a bit disappointing, prominent taste of the flour overpowering the oyster. Fantasy prawns and beef asparagus are above average. We ordered avocado cream, hmmm… sadly it’s miserable in terms of portion size and taste. Service is average, the waiters are polite but less attentive, there is room for improvement considering the price point, being polite is the bare minimum requirement of an establishment of this hotel standard. Coming back? definitely, after the major renovation in the resort and hopefully some...

Disappointed to be honest…. Food was very average Chinese, a very limited menu (only two soups to start or two deep fried dishes which were indistinguishable), overpriced (even considering private island resort), the restaurant is far too hot (unless you are lucky enough to get one of the 8 tables by the sea), and we had to wait until after our food had arrived to get our wine as the bottle we had chosen (nothing special, supermarket wine in the U.K.!) had to be brought from another restaurant apparently (!). We have been spoiled by superb, inexpensive food for the last three weeks in Malaysia, this is probably the worst meal so far, when we were expecting much better from this 5 star resort. Views are lovely and the decor is very upmarket but something needs to be done about making the restaurant cooler to eat, especially if you are seated near the...

Authentic Chinese food with great taste and top of the line ingredient. That also means the price is very high. You have to be a guest of Pangkor Laut Resort in order to dine here and you have to make reservation. It is quite full most the time, so please reserve once you checked in to the resort.

One disappointment when we dined here as 2 dishes were served cold. However, the staff didn't hesitate to offer an exchange and gave us dessert as compensation. Well done!

This is my favourite in Pangkor Laut Resort and please reserve an all inclusive package when you dine here as...

Enjoyed the ambiance at Uncle Lim’s Kitchen at Pangkor Laut Resort. The restaurant is nicely designed, cozy and the service was good. The staff were helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The dishes served looked good but unfortunately, the overall taste was just very average. The fried oysters with eggs were too salty and the rest of the dishes need evaluation and improvement. Overall experience was disappointing for the expensive price paid and we would expect the dishes to taste at certain standard for sure.
