Mai Cafe — Restaurant in Perlis

My BIL invited our family members to dinner in conjunction of the visit of our uncle and aunty from KL. Their presence in Perlis was very much appreciated due to travel restrictions of MCO during Covid 19 pandemic. I ordered Beef Tortillas. Except for the tiny bit of toughness of the meat, I could appreciate the delicious dish. Others ordered Crispy Fish + Chicken with Cream Sauce, Daging Masak Merah (beef cooked in red sauce) + white rice, Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara, Chicken Chop, Beef Burger with fries and Fried Rice. Although we ordered at the cafe, the food preparation was fast. Mind you, there were 16 of us present that evening. The fact that we were the first batch of customers to arrive did help too. A nice place to dine. Variety of western menu to chose from. The dishes are actually quite impressive, I would rate the food 5 stars. But because it is located next to a small river, there are a lot of bugs & mosquitoes. I don't mind that because the ambiance is quite unique & they do put mosquito repellent there too. But one thing that put me off is the slow service & very long waiting time to get the food ready. I assumed they only have 1-2 cook to ensure food quality.
