Absolutely appalled at this restaurant!!

First of all I went to go and see if I could grab a bite to eat it was about 230 - 2:45 I went to the restaurant to see if I could grab some food cause we had not had any breakfast I’m here with my sister and my nephews!

The guy at the front said to me that there was no more food left and I said not even french fries he says no we’re completely out in the kitchen there’s nothing left we’re sold out so I said it’s OK if I have some beer he said yeah sure that’s OK I’ll be back !

I went back to tell my sister let’s go have some beer here when I went earlier than her I had ordered some beer and I realized that 1/2 a pint of Sapporo bee is 35 ringget - I was shocked! 😳 And when I sat there I was observing the people that were sitting there some other people came and sat in some of the tables and guess what they were given a menu and they ordered food ! 🥘 Never in my life I have ever ever experience such behavior at a restaurant ! It seemed like they didn’t really want my business but it wasn’t even about that ! I have no idea why the guy said to me that there was no more food left I just can’t understand that so my sister came and I told her what had happened , she called over a waiter and said can I get a menu he said sure brought over a menu and I said is all of food available he said yes! 🙌🏽

Do not support this restaurant at all whatsoever they are discriminatory and me as a food travel influencer with over 23 million google views of my reviews around the world this had to be the most despicable restaurant I’ve ever been to!

I would not support this restaurant and I’m writing this publicly !

DO NOT HESITATE TO EAT THERE !! 🥰😍 It is the only restaurant of the island, but honestly, if someone decided to open a restaurant he will be out-of-business in 1 week because it is impossible to do better than this restaurant 🤣

The people, the food, the beverages, the place, the musicians at diner time: all was perfect! Congratulations to all the team, you did an amazing job and you were so kind to us ! We spent an AMAZING 5-days stay on the island, and if one day we come back to Malaysia, we will obviously come by to the island just for the food of that restaurant ! The small pieces of chickens of the "Sharing Board" will probably be in my mind forever !!! 🤤🤤 Delicious ! French people are known to be very difficult with food, and I must admit it is usually my case, but honestly, I do not have any remarks on the food: the taste, the quality, the recipes... Perfect 😍 (and we tasted the major part of the menu...

We were island hoping snd wanted to grab lunch. Manukan didn’t really have much food options, especially if you want fresh food at a sit down place. The service was fine, the views were great, but the food was awful. When there’s no competition, I guess you don’t have to do much. The keropok in our nasi lemak was stale. The rice didn’t appear fresh. Another dish was ice cold. The satay also came out so quickly it couldn’t have been fresh. The chicken was chewy. It appears that they refrigerate the food and heat it up in the microwave before serving it. For the price I would have at least expected fresh food. We probably would have been better of at the place a few doors down where they made fresh fried rice or fried noodles by the beach.

If you only care about the ambiance for your pictures, this is a great spot. If you care about what you eat, look elsewhere. On the plus side we did get ice cold water...
