Beringgis Riverside Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Sabah

The place was nice and the ambience was good, not too noisy. The price range was slightly expensive but what make it even worst the service was slow. Like superrrr late, we arrived at 7:30PM and we finished at 10PM. Understand we came during 3rd raya and they were understaff and the food order might took awhile. So, while waiting we decide to take picture around the place while others wait at table. By the time we’ve finished not even the drinks arrived yet. We order a jug of Chinese tea ping and 1 coke.

Then we wait again, but only fish and squid arrived nothing else. No rice, no drinks, no cutleries. Our order was ikan siakap 3 rasa, salted fried squid, corn soup, mix vege and sweet sour prawn. But somehow the order taker REMEMBER they wrongly sent one of the menu to our table. Aiyaaa kamu order siakap 3 rasa kann? Ni bukan siakap ni he said. We were stunned as we donno what fish is sent to our table (inda kami kenal tu ikan apa kalau sdh covered by all the sauces) There are few tables behind us, arrived later than us but most of their order has arrived I think because most of them are EATING. So, my sister asked one of the waiters where was our drinks and no rice? Ouh okok said the waiter and came back with rice and drinks only, no cutleries.

So, I decided to walk to the cashier and asked for cutleries, she asked for which table and I answered and informed her we were a group of 4 adult and 3 children. What was outrageous was she asked me if there is any soup ordered? They should have our order ticket right? What menu did we ordered, but I politely said yes we have ordered soup and there is couple dishes are yet to arrive. Ouhh okok said the cashier.

Then the cutleries arrived, we started to eat as we’re hungry and that time was 9PM ody. By the time we finished the other 3 dishes BELUM SAMPAIIIII ! So, my sister buli lg calmly cakap to the order taken our food are yet to arrive. Apa lagi blum sampai he said, ouhhhh alala durang lupa la ni, sorry he said. Then he came to our table inform us 5 more minutes sampai. By the time food arrive most of the restaurant guest are leaving and most of them arrived later than us. So we eatttttt until 10PM, they kemas2 sudahh. My grandma pun may trtidur2 sdh, after finished we pay at counter and that’s it ! At least apologies baa, kasi tunjuk muka minta maaf kaa.. The whole time we were upset there was only 1 sorry...

First impression from the staff was good! There were abt 4 tables I think, food came within less than 20mins! Ordered crab, prawns, sotong and vege. The butter on the prawn wasn't too salty or sweet, kamhiong crab was OK, wasn't too strong, but I love the size of it, so much flesh, puas hati!! I like the vege with bawang putih, even the sotong batter was different than the ones I always tasted yg so common punya. It was a weekend so there was a live entertainment, I think it started at 5pm and finished ard 8plus. Atmosphere was nice, place was really spacious! Price was abit on the high side if to compare with welcome seafood. For 2 person, 4 dish, 1 rice and 2 drinks came...

The scenery is nice and food are delicious and affordable. but One star for the poor service to be specific the lady who is wearing tudung ( sorry I am not bias or racist, I have lots of muslim friends.It is just because I wore t-shirt, she treated us with grumpy face, annoying voice,I assumed that perhaps she is exhausted but when this group of uncles and aunty wearing dress came, her voice changed 360.. Woww who is this nice and polite lady. WOW WOW that is bias hokay. just because we are wearing t-shirt and flip flop..( fuh I am having bad experience while eating, trying to calm myself) maybe the management can do something like train them to smile and treat...
