Kung Fu Chicken Rice — Restaurant in Sarawak

The variety of food here is so attractive - they have Western food (Chicken Chop, Bolognese Spaghetti, etc), dishes (fried vegetables, etc), toast (different choices), local fare (Mi Goreng, plated rice, Kolo Mee, etc). The menu is full of attractive pictures that it's a bit hard to choose what to eat 😅

We sat outside as we didn't want air-conditioning. Ordered Mi Goreng Basah, Crispy Cereal Chicken Rice, Roasted Chicken Rice, Mushroom Chicken Mee, Chicky Sandwich & Kaya Cheese Toast. Food was not the greatest but decent enough.

Service was OK. They provide cutlery in a metal cup filled with hot water. Felt they could use taller cups though, as the cutlery tend to fall out (as the metal cup is too short and the cutlery sticks out too long).

Sitting outside - you have to actively chase away houseflies. They kept coming after our food was served. Also Batu Niah being Batu Niah - you have to deal with people parking next to you with their car engines turned on. Not pleasant to have your meal with car exhaust near you.

We'll definitely visit again if we're in Batu Niah but perhaps we'll sit...

This place actually a great place to hangout. The vibes is nostalgic, retro and comfy. Though they should extend the toilet and washing area.

Food is good, but not great. Can be a hit and miss. Price is ok depending on the menu. Food portion can be generous depending on the menu, and its good they use tall glass to serve drinks since their drinks can be considered higher than other surrounding eateries.

What I dont like the most is the waiter and waitress, never smile and never said thank you (most but not all). I hope the owner can nicely advice the waiter and waitress to treat customer nicely irrespective of the customer's status.

Food - I am very sorry but maybe need to change the sop I knew it’s reheat or microwave via preparation hopefully can be trained one day

Service - cashier was great pretty but have to be less singing , waiters must smile not think customers coming to eat and ya face like say it’s time for my shift to end or buat muka gaji lom masuk, waitress very alert but pls smile 🥹
