Best Fish & Chips in Sarawak? Found this place via Google when searching for western food in Sibu. Fell in love with the Fish & Chips on my 1st visit. Came back again today for Fish & Chips and it did not dissapoint! They use fresh deep sea fish (not frozen). I forgot to ask them what fish. But it tasted fresh. Portion size just nice for the price. The chicken cheese-baked rice was decent as well. Coffee was excellent (had cappucino, and latte in previous visit). Place is clean, cool. Service was attentive and friendly. Their kitchen has a glass wall, so patrons can see the chefs at work and kitchen is clean. Most importantly, ingredients are fresh (not frozen). They serve beer too (in bottles). While the restaurant boasts a simple yet pleasant décor and no parking issues, I found the food to be overpriced. We ordered the Sous Vide Rib Eye Steak in advance, expecting it to be cooked to a perfect medium rare, but unfortunately, it turned out too dry for our liking. Regrettably, we couldn't finish it. After reading about the lasagne on a food blog I had to try! It was very tasty, many many layers of pasta with bolognese sauce and a nice cheesy layer too. The best I’ve had in Sarawak. I also tried a dessert pizza of Apple & cinnamon and it was amazing. I had to take half home it was a big size. The service was friendly, however I chose to sit outside and they weren’t as attentive so took a few big waves to get attention. I can’t wait to try their other pizzas and pasta.
