We went here on Sunday night. We had to cancel our orders after almost 1.5 hours of waiting. The only dish that arrived was sotong goreng tepung, after about 1 hour 15 minutes. Not even nasi putih and drinks were served even after we went to the front and asked for them.
Absolutely serious incompetent, disorganized workers handling the orders and customers. Orders were mixed up and lost. We spoke to several customers who were having the same problems as ours, with one of the family were waiting for almost 2.5 hours.
We talked to the cashier and the workers there that handle the orders but, it didn't solve any problems, and even added confusion to us. They do not know our orders and kept repeating that they have delivered 'our orders' of chilly crab. Well, we did not order that, and no chilly crab made to our table.
The cashier was also having difficulties handling the job. The queue was long with people cancelling orders. For the waiter, in my opinion, if you know that you cannot serve customers in acceptable decent amount of waiting time, you should inform your customers. So that they can made decision whether to wait or go somewhere else.
We picked about 6 (whole) pieces of squids (sotong), about medium sized, for sotong goreng tepung. We only pay for this as this was the only dish that we got. The price is quite expensive, RM40. The price for the same quantity of dish was way cheaper at other ikan bakar restaurant, for example Ana Ikan Bakar Petai in Tg. Lumpur or in Bandar Baru Bangi.
So, for me, the service was terrible, and this will definitely make me think twice to come here again. I'm sure if they continue the same level of service, they will loose customers naturally. If i'm the owner, i will sack all the incompetent employees and replace them with others. Put in place an SOP on how to handle customer orders and learn the table arrangements properly. If the server cannot understand the table numbers and arrangements, how would they served orders properly to the right customers? Not learning the table arrangements is the basic mistake for a restaurant, which made me think, how long have you been in...

All the dishes I ordered were delicious especially the spicy grilled barramundi (siakap) and the spicy pepahat. Both are fresh and not smelly.
Every time I come to eat here, I always choose pepahat to eat as my favorite menu because the Jeram area is famous for 'pepahat' because of its fresh and plump filling.
I came around 4 pm for early dinner so there weren't many customers at that time. Usually many will come around 5 pm until night.
Before entering the restaurant, the staff at the front desk will ask which side of the table you want to sit at. If you want a sea view next to, you can choose to eat sitting ‘bersila’. If you want to choose a chair, there are many options but you can still see the sea and it's not very far.
There, the staff will tell you that the choices menu of veges, soups, beverages and other foods other than fresh seafood must be ordered with them. After making an order, they will give you 2 pieces of paper with the table number you choose. Then you will go to the selection counter of fresh seafood such as fish, shrimp, crab and others.
If you go with many family members, they can go straight to the table of choice and you go straight to the seafood counter.
At the counter, after you make your choices, you will tell the staff what type of dishes you want and the staff will ask for a piece of paper (table number) that you got.
1 more paper (table number) you keep to give to the staff at the payment counter which is made after you finish eating.
Also, you can make an early reservation especially when you want come at night because usually it will packed with customers.
Is the food expensive? It depends on the seafoods you choose. The total I ate including beverages was RM130 for 4 peoples. If I want to compare it with the tom yam restaurant that I always go to, the menu I choose is much cheaper at the tom yam restaurant. I rarely eat with a view by the sea, so what's wrong if the price is a...
Read moreHere is my 2cents about this restaurant,
Its average. I'm not saying its not good. Just average. If you compare it to the likes of "South sea seafood" or other more well of/proper seafood restaurant it will surely be ranked bottom.
Service, Needs a major improvement. I have read previous comments on google about bad service. Nothing short of truth. Staff lacks warmth and effieciency. You have to wait quite sometime for the food..but it is a famous place so waiting time is for sure.
Ambiance, The place ia considered quite clean with basic aminities such as restroom, surau and lots of washing sinks. Its located by the beach..not much of a view but you get the seaside feel..during the day its very hot and humid in the dining area. Having and aircond section would be nice. Overall it was comfortable enough
Food, I had the kerang bakar, sotong tepung and pari bakar. Why didnt I have fish..to have fish is not a meal for 2..more for 4..fishes here are huge! Kerang was good Sotong was delish🤤 Pari was below average.. The sotong tepung saved the day!
Price, It is reasonable compared to other seafood restaurants. But in my opinion its better to pay slightly more and get top notch service and food.
Overall Its popularity did it good. But there are alot of area they need to improve. Service area is a red alert❗❗❗ Nobody wants to walk into a restaurant and feel unwelcomed and as some put it in the comment section"Like we owe them money😅" Servers were polite Front of house and cashier is a sight for sore eyes.
Its a one in awhile place to go..nothing strong enough drawing me back here.. Maybe I will give its next door neighbour a...
