Their food was quite nice, tasty, reasonably priced, the portion of food was reasonably huge and their service was super fast. Friendly, helpful and informative staffs who recommended their food offerings while advising the portion based on the numbers of guests. Located towards the end of the road besides the fisherman's loading area. Frankly, a little bit of fishy smells surrounding the restaurant due to the nature of businesses operating there. A simple restaurant set up with plenty of parking spaces across the restaurant. Deep Fried Mantis Prawns, Lala fried with sambal sauces, Gabbage fried with dried prawns mixed with sambal sauce are nicely cooked and the taste was super tasty. The seafood was fresh as compared to other surrounding restaurants, bigger portions and very reasonable prices. Never judge a book by its cover. We have gone more adventurous today as we drove pass Kuala Selangor, Tanjung Karang, Sekinchan and reach Sungai Besar ( reaching our seafood shopping target). This restaurant is a bit out of the conventional seafood restaurant and looks surely is not as attractive as the normal “ lubok” or parish ( food court). However as its smack right next to the “port” or where the local boats dock to unload their trawlers day catch, the seafood variety are very much dependent on the incoming boats. Today we ordered halibuts deep fried, shrimps’ fried rice noodles, some flower crabs, stir-fried fish and baby shrimp ( Sekinchan style). The floor can be quite wet and the restaurant's overall hygiene standards unbearable to some, but by golly, the food is GOOD. The 金香虾姑肉 (Kam Heong Mantis Shrimp) and 菜脯辣椒虾 (Chili Shrimp with Preserved Vegetables) are lip-smackingly delicious, especially the mantis shrimp; from the soft-yet-crispy texture, to the spice-rich sauce, to the succulent mantis shrimp meat... absolutely divine. Thumbs up to the fishermen next door for the fresh seafood, and the chefs in the kitchen for the culinary magic.
