Satay comes in normal and big size. I only need 2 or 3 big-size satay to feel full. The satay is tender, juicy, and sweet. The peanut sauce is sweet and yummeyh. Small satay is rm1.10 and large satay is rm2.20 per piece. Nasi impit is rm0.70 per piece. They got the menu printed on the table, hence, you don't need to request for their menu. Lots of people here, all the time, quite hectic, but lively. They serves mostly normal malay restaurant dishes like mi goreng etc. I ordered bubble milk tea and I must say, it was very sweet. If you are taking care of your sugar intake, I must advise that you not order this drink menu. Parking will be hard if you came late, but you can always park on the roadside or in the opposite side at MR DIY. Overall, OK. Its a must-go place whenever I'm going to Tanjong Karang.
Kuah kacang memang sedap. Manis je rasa dia. Menu nya diprint Di meja, jadi tak perlu nak minta menu dengan pelayan restoran. Sini sentiasa ramai orang, seronok sebab meriah. Restoran ni menghidangkan makanan biasa seperti restoran lain. Overall, OK. Memang akan singgah makan sini bila ke...
Read moreEvery time I pass by this road, I will drop by this restaurant for their perfectly marinated tender satays. For me, It truly stands out as a unique experience that surpassess satay kajang. You don't even need the peanut gravy to compliment it. Unfortunately that's the only thing that this restaurant excels at. The other foods just drowns under the satay's glory. The other foods like fried rice, tom yum tastes mediocre and doesn't hit the bar. Drinks too share the same fate. This place used to be different in term of service and environment but my recent visit saw some changes. We used to order food with waiters and pay later but now you gotta order and pay first at counter before food is served. It kinda takes away the warm hospitality that we used to feel at places like this. Secondly, for some reason, the entire premise has chains running up along it's border leading to a single opening where customers can enter and exit. And once inside, you get this feeling of being inside a cage, with restricted freedom, making me anxious. It used to be an open concept restaurant, where customers can walk in and out from any directions, making us feel free. When you lose hospitality and a sense of freedom, your ability to enjoy food to the fullest drops significantly. I hope they can turn it back to the way it was.
Ps: they recommended some kinda new sauce to go along with satay. I think it's a mixture if buttermilk and cheese. Might want to avoid it cos it pairs terribly...
Read moreI recently visited Satay Hut in Tanjong Karang and had a pleasant experience. The satay was tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection with a nice smoky flavour. Suitable for whoever loves satay in the sweeter taste. Little bit differ from Kajang side of satay. And their specialty is the jumbo size satay. The peanut sauce was rich, creamy, and complemented the meat very well. They offer a good variety of satay, including chicken and beef, with generous portions. They also have variety menu of masakan panas.
The restaurant perfect for families or small gatherings. Service was friendly and fast, and the food was served hot and fresh without a long wait.
Parking can be a bit limited, especially during weekends or public holidays. However, you can usually find a spot along the roadside nearby if the main parking area is full.
Overall, Satay Hut is a great place to enjoy tasty, traditional satay in Tanjong Karang. A good stop if you’re craving local flavours in a relaxed setting. Highly recommended for...
