Sepinggan Semangkuk Kopitiam — Restaurant in Selangor

Hi this is Solarance again and I know it’s been a while since my last feedback but here I am at a new place in Banting called “Sepinggan Semangkuk”..

So without further ado, let’s start on the food we ordered 👍🏻

1- I ordered the Tomyam Seafood Spaghetti and honestly the king of this dish is the amazing sauce! DELICIOUS SAUCE! But sadly the dish was brought down by the seafood which are mushy, undercooked and tasteless… please improve on the seafood cooking time.. if it’s more flavourful and the squid is more crunchy it can make a huge difference.. otherwise at least cook the squid through…. Thanks to that I rate the dish 3/5

2- My brother in law and mom ordered the Chicken Balado with rice and they have a few opinions on it… my mom says her Tempe tasted funny and smells funny.. like it’s undercooked.. I tasted one just to be sure and yea it was really undercooked… the chicken balado would be better if it’s crunchier.. she and my brother in law rated 3/5

3- my sister ordered the quesadilla and she told me it was “ok” same goes with the burrito and the spaghetti carbonara… all of them agreed on 3/5 as well..

4- my mother ordered satay for takeaway but I’m really curious on it so I had a taste and OMG the satay is one of the best ones I ever tasted! So tender and so chunky! I’d rather eat this honestly then the spaghetti I ordered 😂 5/5 for this dish

5- the atmosphere is gorgeous though and very comfortable! The toilet is clean and comfy but try and make another toilet in case you get a full house 😂

6- service is top 👍🏻 keep it up

Overall not a bad place to stop by but I live so far so hopefully the next time I come here, the food will improve based on the feedback given 👍🏻

Sepinggan Semangkuk is a casual eatery that offers a wide array of food options, from Asian delights to Western cuisine, along with plenty of side dishes to choose from. One standout on the menu is the ribeye steak, priced at RM 48. While it may not be the best steak I've ever had, it's decent for the price. I did forget to specify my preference for medium-well, so they prepared it medium/medium-rare. For those with gout like me, a word of caution when ordering this!

One dish that really impressed me was their Chicken Balado Spaghetti. It’s a unique twist, taking the traditional Balado flavors to a whole new level—definitely a must-try for adventurous eaters.

I visited around 4 PM, and while the atmosphere was pleasant, I can imagine that the place becomes quite Instagram-worthy in the evening, perfect for family gatherings or date nights. The eatery also has a surau upstairs, and additional seating without a roof, adding to the charming, laid-back vibe of the place.

As for the prices, I found them to be reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. Overall, Sepinggan Semangkuk is a worthy spot to enjoy a casual meal with a diverse menu that caters to...

I love this place! They have romantic vibe. Cozy and not so packed eventho full of customer. Better reserve first yaa!

Food portion : One portion is quite big. Generous amount of nasi goreng. Please look at the cheese wedges portion! Generous! Seafood portion also big. Unless the stay we order only 2 stick to try out.

Food tastes : i Loveeeeeeee the chicken grill and the black paper sauce. Sedapp and chicken is not dry even tho it is well done. Both air also sedapppp. The cheesy wedges doesn't make us muak at all! Sufficient amount of cheesy sauve and the wedges. Satay dia sedappp gila. We chose satay Rusa(deer) it is super tasty and tender as well. Peanut gravy also cook to perfection macam hari raya!
