We reached the cafe at 9.00pm n my first impression was ânice cafe, typical aesthetic looking cafe, chill vibe, narrow roads, parking in the middle of an orchard? So dark? Need to walk like you wanna go to kenduri or beraya something?â Only then we reached âin betweenâ of the entrance đ€Šđ»ââïž There were 6 of us in leisure n lazy attire with tudung sarong n yeah, the staffs were looking up n down to us like theyâre gonna pay our foods. So things turn sour since, it was raining heavily, we got wet as we were placed outdoor initially then asked to sit indoor. We ordered at 9.15pm n the drinks were served around 30mins later. Then, the food đ€Šđ»ââïžđ€Šđ»ââïžđ€Šđ»ââïž They were served almost at closing time (10pm) then they were COLDâŠ??? For almost an hour from ordering to servings how can you serve that kind of food?? For that priceâŠ?!!!! The cafe blackout some more for about 3mins during our âdinnerâ n then turned back on, maybe to mark the closing time đ I called one staff to get my order corrected but boy, I know you reached the end of the day already but this is not kedai mamak you know.. donât give your attitude here laa. If you donât want customers to give âextra instructionsâ then donât put the slot in your system. Take it out n throw it in your way okay? I know you guys are tired but remember customers are paying heftily for your services. Overall, drinks are so nice, deserve high ratings. But foods? Cold, late, didnât meet expectations yadayada. The best in our taste is the smoked duck and chicken chop. The worst is fish n wedges, for almost rm30 with creamy tomyam sauce? đ i wished i was dreaming! Bring back my tartar sauce, lemon n nice slice of fish but not DORY..! Carbonara, too garlicky with chunks of it. Butter chicken?⊠6-7 strips of bttered chics with margerine taste sauce.. yooo my sis can cook better than your chef đ„± such a simple, basic dish yet you guys canât deliver. All of these just killed the vibes and everything.
Repeat? Solid NO. Can find better cafe? Solid YES AND YES. We are cafe and coffee hunters and yesâŠWe did find a more secluded cafe than this but definitely worth to repeat again n again n again. Lastly, donât judge a book by itâs cover pls.. yes we dressed like âtak bersiapâ but HELLOOOOâŠtake a look at our pockets. We might be richer than you? Well ofcozâŠ! Bcs we paid our own foods..! Pls improve n maybe i will come to visit again in the future if...
Read moreWas in Sg Choh, Rawang whereby the client took us out for lunch. Ended up at NZ Coffee, quite well hidden from the main road, no signboard, within a kampung following a one lane road off a side road, and no frontage or sign except for a nondescript one stating to use the back entrance. The place was amazing the decor very instagramable yet still cosy and homely enough for groups to eat without being too crowded, an open garden concept with nice decor and good food.
Quite surprised to see such a nice cafe built behind the ownerâs home. They offer a nice selection of pastas and nasi dishes including their specialty duck. The cakes were nice, especially loved the Biscoff cheesecake, though the other two we had were only ok. The food was lovely and portion wise worth it, though for the smoked duck rice which comes with fried egg it would have been nice if they paired it with some sides like jeruk or Asam or even sambal petai which would have enhanced it more. Also despite being said to be spicy, I would have loved it to be more so as canât really feel any heat. More sambal and condiments would really add to the syiok. Only thing I feel is the duck piece while sliced were stuck together, not sure if this is a culinary choice but Iâd rather they sliced it properly than having to struggle to split them. The fries were as meleleh as they can get and the drink variety is quite extensive.
For a hidden place there were quite a number of patrons, which is encouraging and likely from word of mouth. Itâs amazing to see such enterprises and with online marketing even remote diners like these can get attention. Would love to go there again but again I would like to see more Malay traditional oomph to the dishes to give it...
Read moreFood and drinks are great here, the ambient also nice, chicken nanchos got me confusing when they serve bread like with chicken and tiny nanchos on top, fish quite jelak and hanyir but other are great love the pasta and drinks. However, coming here is quite a challenge especially if it's been raining, night time as it's outdoor but maybe a lot nicer during clear day. Designated parking space pitch black at night with no light or safe area to u turn. We wouldn't dare to park bcs it's too dark instead we park on roadside of the main road. Note that this is oudoor area so do not wear your fav shoes here as you will walk on soil, rocks and grass. And maybe mosquitoes repellent if needed
There's room for improvement on accessibility, parking, night time
Best time coming here day time and clear day.
Updated: We visited again but this time during the day (afternoon). It was hot, didn't open fan for us. 3drinks, 1cake, 1strudel total for Rm59.90 which I find it quite expensive for the service I'm getting such didn't prepare enough fork for cake, didn't prepare spoon for peach tango drink and tissues, I feel like I have to service on my own for the little things. staffs not as friendly as they used to be, QRcode for ordering which I'm not a fan of bcs have to use our own internet data, internet line not quite stable in the area, quite hard to order especially coming with senior citizen, family. Parking is fine for us bcs there's not much people that time.
Room for improvement: working&ordering sop, service that...
