The Country Park by Chic Cafe — Restaurant in Selayang Municipal Council

Don't be turned away by it's outside appearance! Head inside and you would be greeted by a friendly host and tranquil environment. We ordered a carbonara, pizza and grilled kunyit chicken.

Kids day the pizza is at par with restaurants in the city. The grilled chicken was tender and juicy. The carbonara may not be the original Italian version, but also wasn't the localised version that's drowning in cream sauce. Prices are between RM20-40, which is acceptable. Overall, would absolutely recommend this cafe and would come again.

Edited: portion for me is just nice, but some finds it small. I would describe it as city office worker portions 😅 Rawang folks might sometimes need bit more bulk to consider the food value for money.

Fun fact - this building where the restaurant is in, used to be a very beautiful Balinese style clubhouse, that had a very nice pool with a waterfall drop, sauna rooms and even a penguin attraction (probably it's downfall since animal abuse isn't ethical nor very attractive). While part of it's structure has been retained, a whole lot has also been repurposed or rebuilt. It always gives me a pang of sadness that Rawang can't have nice things...but perhaps this cafe gives...

Been there twice. The 2nd time definitely it's the LAST! 1st time been here on 9 Feb 25, it's not so crowded, but they seems to messed up with all the orders. Takes 45 minutes to be served. Came for the 2nd visit on 14 Feb 25, came here all the way from Kajang to celebrate valentines day because of their spaghetti carbonara glasses. It turns me and my bae down!

Reached there at 7.30pm, we take the menu by ourselves, place order by ourselves. Ok fine! I know that it's peak season. We can do that, it's ok.

But we've been waited for 1hr. 1st chaser, they said it's otw. 15mins later, 2nd chaser and said it's still otw. Another 15mins, 3rd chaser, asked again, they DID NOT placed the order into the system and they lost my order sheet!

As they promised will help to cut queue and prepare our order 1st. Another 15mins gone, 4th chaser, have to wait for another 30mins which i don't think they can make it!

Anyone who wants to pay a visit here, make sure you're not very hungry and you have the time to wait.

It's the first time for us to wait 2hrs for a dinner!

This is definitely a 5/5 recommended tempat makan for anyone! (Kids yg nak lari2, couples yg nk dating2, families, aunties with besties, uncles yg nk seorang2... Semua ada suitable place for u here..)

Aesthetics is camping 🏕️ vibes (of course la healing & relax!)

Staff service is 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. They always pay close attention to customers and their attitude makes you feel very welcomed and appreciated as a customer ❤️

then of course THE FOOD. Mmph! We ordered their sizzling tofu, grilled chicken and chicken burger --- SEMUA SEDAP!!! 😍 I've never fallen in love with the taste of chicken like this before....

the PORTION. Memang akan kenyang, while having a balanced meal ☺️

Haiya, byk lagi reasons why I love eating here tapi malas type dh... Anyways, you gotta give this place a try, so that it'll make u feeling full, happy and content for dayssss ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

(p/s: they asked for our feedback on the food masa bayar, I mentioned the mash potato punya butter macam too heavy a bit la... Then ytd i dtg kali kedua, mash potato dia betul2 krg heavy on the butter dh... Omg diorang betul2 implement feedback kita lah!...
