Tucked away in the vibrant neighborhood of Kampung Melayu Sg. Buloh, this unassuming eatery is a treasure trove of authentic Malay cuisine. The tantalizing aroma of freshly cooked spices permeates the air, beckoning passersby with the allure of a culinary odyssey. Upon entering, you are enveloped by the restaurant's inviting atmosphere, mirroring the genuine warmth of its staff. The culinary masterpiece is undoubtedly the succulent chicken, expertly marinated in a harmonious blend of herbs and spices. Each bite is an explosion of flavors, the tender meat dissolving in your mouth as the aromatic spices tantalize your taste buds. The accompanying steaming white rice flawlessly complements the chicken, providing a neutral canvas for the symphony of flavors. To quench your thirst, immerse yourself in the divine coconut shake. The velvety texture and the subtle sweetness of the coconut milk create a harmonious blend that is both refreshing and gratifying. Each sip transports you to a tropical paradise, a world away from the bustling streets outside. Whether you are a seasoned gastronome or a casual diner, this culinary gem is sure to leave you yearning for more. The authentic flavors, the genuine hospitality, and the overall dining experience make it an essential destination for anyone seeking a taste of true Malay cuisine.

A treasure place secluded in the Malay kampung place. They called it nasi maggey but not sure what they meant but it definitely tastes like nasi kukus. Not to mention the portion is huge. There’s a long line during lunch time but the service is quick. All order is done and served instantly in takeout form and can be dined in at the restaurant. They do serve coconut drink and coconut milkshake as well. The food is great but keep in mind that their sambal can be very spicy to some people. Parking is limited, you may need to takeout your food to dine somewhere else.

I reached this non-airconditional restaurant on weekdays at about 12pm. The ambience was a bit warm. Ordering at the counter and waiting time for take out about 2 minutes. Nasi manggey was super delicious when eating using fingers. The curry sauce and sambal were perfect and not too spicy. Rhe rice was well cooked and mixed with curry very well. The chicken meat was generous, although it cost only RM7 per serving. 5 stars

Parking ample but sometimes full and long queues especially during lunch. Facilities is at the bare minimum so dont expect much (minus 1 star just for that). They have standard tables and japanese style (low) dining table where you can sit cross-legged ("bersila") in a group. No waiter, no plates and food is wrapped with wrapping paper layered with banana leaf regardless if you having it there or elsewhere. You need to bring your own cointainer if you want to seperate the sauce ("kuah"). However the food is good and inexpensive. You can ask to adjust the spiciness to give it a more "kick" when the staff is wrapping your food.

Its hard to describe the food to first timers, but one thing for sure, its simple, unique and for most people, it will probably make you come back for more.

There is only a few menu items you can get here, but look at the crowd! They also have many brances all over Klang valley (this is the first one). Its seems that they perfected the recepie. Maybe its something like what Bruce Lee said: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick...

We tapau here many times especially in 2022. The food is good.

But last Sat (22 July 9am) THE SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONALLY BAD. Once the server saw that we brought our own food container her face changed.

We packed Nasi Lemak with fried Chicken. We just got plain white Nasi Lemak. No Peanuts, no ikan bilis, no egg and no sambal given. We tried asking for sambal - server replied kena bayar. The condiments were there just not given to us at all.

We wanted chicken and ikan tongkol and server kept asking repetitively berapa (RM) u nak. Felt pressured as unsure of value vs portion.

Although the food at Warong Kita is good but with such unfriendly service, difficult for us to come back again. The place was not busy, only 1-2 person in the queue.

BTW - server...
