They have standard tables and japanese style (low) dining table where you can sit cross-legged ("bersila") in a group. No waiter, no plates and food is wrapped with wrapping paper layered with banana leaf regardless if you having it there or elsewhere. You need to bring your own cointainer if you want to seperate the sauce ("kuah"). However the food is good and inexpensive. You can ask to adjust the spiciness to give it a more "kick" when the staff is wrapping your food.
Its hard to describe the food to first timers, but one thing for sure, its simple, unique and for most people, it will probably make you come back for more.
There is only a few menu items you can get here, but look at the crowd! They also have many brances all over Klang valley (this is the first one). Its seems that they perfected the recepie. But last Sat (22 July 9am) THE SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONALLY BAD. Once the server saw that we brought our own food container her face changed.
We packed Nasi Lemak with fried Chicken. We just got plain white Nasi Lemak. No Peanuts, no ikan bilis, no egg and no sambal given. We tried asking for sambal - server replied kena bayar. The condiments were there just not given to us at all.
We wanted chicken and ikan tongkol and server kept asking repetitively berapa (RM) u nak. Felt pressured as unsure of value vs portion.
Although the food at Warong Kita is good but with such unfriendly service, difficult for us to come back again. The place was not busy, only 1-2 person in the queue.
