Macam mana nak mula review ni?
At first glance, i notice this place when going back from one of salai place.. looks cool from outside.
Last sunday give a try bring one big family to hunt food outside.
Kinda pack during weekend, even with their spacious parking space i still need to wait. No a big issue with the parking.
The reason because of this 3 star.
System: No control with the big crowd. Everyone like a flies here and there waiting for grilled squid and fish. No social distance. Kinda dangerous. Maybe everyone more afraid they cant get grilled squid rather than infected by covid. Price wise, i find out kinda expensive even they publish the price list. But still i feel that it depend who taking care the cashier counter. It wil be better if u come out with fixed price per dish. So, no element of suprise when paying. The reason why, if u charge us for soggy (lembik) ayam kampung for RM10 with the small pcs. Ofcoz xpuas hati. Or else u need to wait where i dont know when they will refill all d chicken n fish.
Food: When fish or chicken almost run out you should always ready to topup. And make sure when chicken and fish almost cold, u replace it. So doesnt feel like eating yesterday stuff. Grilled sambal, not really nice. I will consider "ahh.. ok la". Over cook squid (burned). Masak lemak gravy, it just spicy. Doesnt kick at all.
No comment on others, place kinda cozy because spacious.
Person who clean the table quite efficient. Welldone bro.
They have "tazker" tazkirah busker. Not so loud, where u can donate.
Overall i will say "it's ok". Please maintain the quality of the...
Read moreThis is a no-brainer set for lunch/dinner. The restaurant only sells Bawal or Pomfret set. You don't even need to think or look at the menu because it is the only dish selling here. An added side dish are the roasted squid in different sizes. We were there for a late lunch and the place was almost empty. The cafe is big with lots of seating places. I was told that the place is totally packed during lunch and most of the sets are already pre-prepared and ready to be served. So we did not want to get into the crowd and wanted a quiet lunch. The fried pomfret was fresh and sweet. The size is really big and served with rice and some salad. There are three types of dippings for the pomfret : sambal kicap, sambal belacan and sambal asam. Sambal asam is the best with the tangy and citric taste with a stinging hot taste of chilli. I love it as it brings out the best taste of the pomfret. The set is priced at RM12.00 and is totally worth it. Parking is available near the entrance...
Read moreNot very happy with this place despite the promising reviews. The variety of dishes were not that many. About 3 types of grilled fish and squid, and 10 other dishes including ulam. Taste was not super and the dishes were cold. I'm a sambal person. But the sambal here just didn't impress.
But I like how systematic they are. You get a tray (you need a tray!), scoop rice, go to the seafood station, then the other dishes, collect a drink and pay up before you eat.
When i was there at 1pm, they ran out of rice but the staff were not alert to notice that the queue for rice was getting longer. To make it worse, the person at the head of the queue was afraid to lose her place and could not afford to leave her position to notify the staff. Many ended up...
