As a lonely person, I thought all my friends in Johor Bahru were happily paired up. Out of frustration, I left for Kuala Lumpur, only to discover that even my friends there were in relationships. I found solace in Sunway Pyramid, where I ate and vented my frustrations. To my surprise, I stumbled upon an Arabian restaurant tucked away in a small alleyway where the dim lighting matched my mood. Although the price of the lamb biryani dish was startlingly high at RM47, I decided to give it a try given the occasion. I also tried a mixed Dar AL-arab juice that had white, orange, and red colors, but it arrived in a uniform color, which was a slight disappointment. However, the flavor of fresh and slightly sour strawberry juice mixed with sweet mango and honeydew melon was explosive, sparking my appetite for the main course.

The rice dish that arrived was a little intimidating as it was piled high with half a kilogram of lamb and turmeric rice, and I assumed it would be predominantly bones. However, to my surprise, there were only a few small bones in the dish, and the rice was fragrant, fluffy, and moist, with clear grains and tender potato cubes and sweet pineapple chunks that tantalized my taste buds. The lamb was also incredibly tender and not greasy, even the fatty pieces, which melted in my mouth.

Despite being full, I couldn't resist ordering a barbecue platter, which I packed up to share with my friends back home. As I waited for the food, I discovered a shisha area in the restaurant, which added to its charm. I thought to myself that I wouldn't have many chances to come back here once I returned to Johor Bahru, and I wondered if there were any comparable Arabian restaurants in the area that could occasionally soothe my...

LOCUS-T celebrated our company’s sales achievement by dining here, and it was an incredible experience! The ambiance of the place was simply stunning, with a beautiful and unique setting that made us feel like we were in a different world. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff, creating a sense of comfort and homeliness.

But the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food! The Middle Eastern specialties tantalized our taste buds with their rich and distinctive flavors. Whether it was the savory lamb kebabs or the spice-infused cumin fried chicken, each dish was meticulously prepared, bursting with flavors that left us craving for more. The signature grilled meats were particularly outstanding – perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy, a delight to savor.

On top of that, the service was exceptional, with the waitstaff always wearing smiles and offering attentive and helpful responses to our queries, enhancing our overall dining experience.

In conclusion, this Middle Eastern restaurant is a haven of delightful dining, be it for the mesmerizing ambiance or the delectable cuisine. It was an enjoyable gathering, and I highly recommend it to all fellow food enthusiasts who appreciate the rich flavors of the...

I think it’s most overrated and overpriced restaurants I have ever visited, servers are very slow and full of attitude, they are serving plates and cutlery direct from the fridge don’t know the reason which even making the food cold. We ordered so many things, like Lamb Mandi, chicken mandi, salad, humus and even Adni Tea. And all are below avg taste.

Over all experience I will give 4 out of 10

Replying to the owners comment:

I don’t have time to proof anything to you, if you don’t take these comments and improve your service rather then challenging the person I can’t help you my friend.

As these reviews are on my personal observation. The plates and cutlery are coming Ice cold if you are keeping it dipped in ice water they are not from fridge but they were cold not normal room temperature or hot. I was invited there for dinner so I don’t have receipt or either photos. There was one guy who was wearing black shirt we requested him to take photos and he was irritated don’t know the reason that he refuse to take photos as well, then their is guy in white shirt who helped to take photos for the group. And this is not a company that have PIC. I am a foodie and share my personal views in my...

Finding this restaurant is like a treasure hunt if you are coming here for the first time. To find it you need to enter via the Sunway Lagoon side of the Sunway Pyramid Mall and then head to a little alley at the side of the Jollibee restaurant. Walk approximately 10-15 metres and then where you'll see the restaurant on your right. Now the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is a close replica of a typical Middle Eastern cafe in the movies unless you have actually travelled there. The waiting staff is courteous and accommodating. Furthermore the staff that waited on us was pretty proficient in Mandarin and Hokkien which was a delightful surprise to me and my friend. Now for the food... What can I say. It was really yummy with the lamb stewed to falling of the bone and the chicken was fork tender. The mix platter kebabs was scrumptious as well with just a minor misharmony with the chicken kebab being a tad dry in this symphony of good food vibes. The pricing for the food is quite reasonable with each pax coming to approx RM30-40. The verdict. Definitely will come again for a special occasion or to have. A taste of the Middle East.

If you are into Arabic food, I won’t recommend you this place. This restaurant is overpriced, serves small portion of food and their service is slow too. I ordered something on the menu which was supposed to be like a stew of ladies fingers with lamb, but as you can see in the photos, they barely gave me any of the meat. Excuse me? This dish costs me Rm35 and that’s all you served. My bf ordered their lamb grilled and they only gave a few pieces of meat that didn’t look fresh at all I must say. Nobody cares about the price if the quality is there but not only I was disappointed with the taste, but the portion especially! Looks like they ran out of lamb meat and just dumped the ladies fingers all over the stew. I had the feeling that their manager or boss was not there so they just did whatever they want. If you really want a good Arabic cuisine, try Hadramot behind Berjaya Times Square. I dined in here because I was in Sunway Pyramid or else I won’t try this place!
