Zuma Maldives — Restaurant in Malé Atoll

Wow, this is best Japanese restaurant we have ever been to. We had top notch service and food. We ordered the chilli lemon chicken tempura (tori tempura), the Yakisoba, the spicy beef tenderloin, and the white rice. The chilli lemon chicken tempura had a lot of citrus, but in a good way, along with a nice bite of chilli, it was very good. The Yakisoba was very flavorful with its assortment of tasty vegetables. The spicy beef tenderloin was the biggest “wow”——it was so tender and filled with delicious flavor. We decided to also take a look at the dessert menu and had a dish that was a cake with chocolate and coffee miso ice cream, and it was absolutely delicious. Our server was so warm and all the other staff who came by were very friendly as well. We had a beautiful view of the water from our table and got to see fish and stingrays go by. Jason is the best. Loved having him as our waiter. Super friendly and helped us make some minor adjustments to the premium tasting menu.

Went to Zuma on the day we arrived and were starving , so we opted for the premium tasting menu. Hard to say if it's worth the hefty price tag, but at least all the dishes were good and it was a ton of food. I wouldn't order it unless you're starving.

Our favorites were the Crab Salad and the dessert platter. Hard to say if the crab salad is worth $95 on its own... But I'd probably order it again if we dined here a second time. It was incredible.

I did come back on our last day just to order the signature chocolate cake, aka "special chocolate with vanilla ice cream." So good.
