Wow, this is best Japanese restaurant we have ever been to. We had top notch service and food. We ordered the chilli lemon chicken tempura (tori tempura), the Yakisoba, the spicy beef tenderloin, and the white rice. The chilli lemon chicken tempura had a lot of citrus, but in a good way, along with a nice bite of chilli, it was very good. The Yakisoba was very flavorful with its assortment of tasty vegetables. The spicy beef tenderloin was the biggest “wow”——it was so tender and filled with delicious flavor. We decided to also take a look at the dessert menu and had a dish that was a cake with chocolate and coffee miso ice cream, and it was absolutely delicious. Went to Zuma on the day we arrived and were starving , so we opted for the premium tasting menu. Hard to say if it's worth the hefty price tag, but at least all the dishes were good and it was a ton of food. I wouldn't order it unless you're starving.
Our favorites were the Crab Salad and the dessert platter. Hard to say if the crab salad is worth $95 on its own... But I'd probably order it again if we dined here a second time. It was incredible.
I did come back on our last day just to order the signature chocolate cake, aka "special chocolate with vanilla ice cream." So good.
