East Market — Restaurant in South Ari Atoll

Our favourite of all the restaurants on the island, East Market was superb! Glenda, Pong, Hassan and team took great care of us. You can be seated along side the dock to see fishes swimming in the water at night including reef sharks and large tuna fishes! The buffet was top quality with multiple live stations so you can eat every night and not have the same thing twice as they offer varying dishes daily or you can create your own. Don't forget to visit the hilarious and very cool disco toilet and get code from East bar to take your photo in the booth. We loved the dim sum, noodle work station, grilled meat and salad bar. Dessert was incredible and included ice cream, fruit, cake, waffle bar and Thai bubble tea...

Food here is excellent. The restaurant is buffet style and there are plenty of choices. Harshan at the Asian Wok station is a wizard with the wok and produces a meal that is wonderful. You can make bespoke juices and also have dim sum at breakfast. If you really have to, you can have a traditional Full English Breakfast and an egg of your choosing. Evening meals are great and offer a different selection to the other restaurants on the island. Every breakfast and evening are a delight Staff are really helpful and the chefs really know their stuff. They are really friendly and will help you with any requests...

I love this restaurant! ❤️ The dim sum were perfect especially chicken, pork and red bean – I recommend that you try them. The highlights for me were sweet & sour fish and crispy pork belly! I liked fried rice in wok as a side dish.
