Café G — Restaurant in Saint Julian's

Café G in Malta has reopened after being closed for a while, and it feels refreshed. The menu has been revisited, and the atmosphere is cozy. There are three seating areas: a few tables outside on the street where you can get some sunlight, some high seats inside, and a small patio with three more tables. The place is quiet but can feel busy quickly because it’s not very large. Music plays softly inside, usually a mix of jazz and pop, which gives it a nice vibe.

Today, I was a bit unlucky because they weren’t serving any drinks, only water. I was craving a coffee or a smoothie, but they didn’t have any available. In the past, their coffee was average, nothing special but fine for Malta. The food, though, is good. I had the poached eggs with salmon, which were really tasty. I spent 15 euros without any drink, just a bottle of water. With drinks, it would easily reach 20 euros per person.

As a person who eats a gluten free diet, I don’t think you understand the happiness I felt when I found some gluten free pancakes.

A lot of cities barely cater for GF however so far I am seeing really good labelling of food here in Malta.
