I've been a pizza lover since my early childhood and I have eaten pizzas in several countries and especially in many places in Italy, but I have never managed (although I have been trying for as badly as I could for more than 10 years) to beat the pizza of Claudio - a genuine Sicilian who has long been living in Malta. The passion behind every ingredient he intelligently chooses, be it for the dough, the tomatoes, the different types of mozzarella and even the quality of oregano, oils etc is the result of many years of a neverending quest to achieve the best. His dough has the best taste and texture ever and his creations are unimaginably delicious - never overdone and always impressively balanced. I cannot leave out the honest character of this great man who has been intelligently thriving for excellence ever since he lifted the rolling pin the first time. If you're in search of the perfect pizza, I can guarantee that you would be wasting your time if you went elsewhere. Forget those tasteless bread-like doughs, the acres of empty crust, those bland tomatoes, that smelly cheese etc... I've been a client for the past decade and it's about time a write this review. We visited Claudio’s Pizzas after seeing its top ratings and had high expectations. Even though it’s tucked away off the main street, the quiet atmosphere was perfect. The service was really friendly, and we decided to try the Smoked Ham pizza and the BBQ Chicken pizza.

Both pizzas were excellent—just the right texture, not too thick or thin, and not too wet or soft. The BBQ Chicken pizza was great, and if I had to say one thing that could be improved, it would be the preparation of the chicken. The Smoked Ham pizza, however, was absolutely perfect. I recommend adding the black olives (Kalamata olives—the good ones!) to make it one of the best-balanced pizzas you’ve ever had.
