Crust Bistro & Bar — Restaurant in Saint Julian's

We visited Crust multiple times as we usually enjoy the ambient and how dog friendly they are, the staff are very polite too so even if something would have slipped catering wise, which has happened, you would kind of ignore it... However, we were very surprised after receiving a bill to find out that a portion of nuts, that states in the menu minimum serving is for two, actually meant that we will be charged double the price. The original price was 6 euros, which for the amount of snacks provided was still pricy but more than enough and to a certain point reasonable. We ended up paying 12 euros for a hand full of nuts, 5 olives, some pretzels and dry bananas. We payed more for this little portion of snacks that we just took to have some nibbles with our drinks, than we would have payed for a portion of burrata. Quality resturants actually serve these kind of snacks with drinks, complementary... Stating in the menu that minimum serving is for two, to my knowledge, means that the portion is enough for two and it cannot be made any less than that and I am sure that menu was created knowing that people will not understand this properly and will end up paying way more than they should have. The price in the menu should say 12 euros, not 6 euros unless I missed something. I highly doubt, that this was done as a mistake by the person who created the menu. However, just in case it was, it left a horrible image on this brand as we ended up feeling dumb for ordering it. This part of the menu should be recovered...

I decided to try Crust after it was recommended as one of the best brunch spots on the island via an Instagram post and it turned out to be highly disappointing.

-Overpriced food for the quality given out. -Subpar presentation. -Bad customer service.

Why so? The eggs benedict was overcooked and I had it with smoked salmon which looked like it was slapped on the bottom end of a bagel which is the only half that is given. The veggie fry up looked like ingredients were randomly tossed on the plate. We also found 2 small hairs (looked like beard ones) which completely destroyed our appetite and they were not mushroom fibres as suggested as hair bulbs were present. We told a waiter and he was shook and offered us 2 doughnuts on the house which never appeared. After taking the plate to the kitchen we were never told anything (we gave them some time to maybe approach us) and after asking for the bill, the money was obviously taken swiftly.

The smoothies were good but that's about it. The bill should've been half the price...

Very bad food and highly expensive. First of all, the salad was empty, just lettuce drowned in mayonnaise. If I wanted mayonnaise it should have been available on the side as a salad full of mayo is just not a salad anymore. Apart from that there were only few pieces of chicken which were very small, making it highly expensive for 13 euro.The burger was small and surely not worth 16 euro. Highly unsatisfied.

We did see the prices before entering but we did not see the portion size until we had it on the table. From your tone of response you are looking like you cannot take criticism and you look very unprofessional Indeed. Why I did not send the salad back as you should have filled it properly in the first place, not just throw in lettuce and a bottle of mayo and call it a salad.

Also, if you really think your burgers are big portion for those prices you are deluded. Also, should specify what type of lettuce it's in the burger, as on the menu it says lettuce but it was really...
