Two of us friends, 55 yr olds, one hotel and travel business owner and one restaurant owner, on Business trip to Madrid and Paris had a weekend free and we decided to visit Malta to relax. My friend is allergic to Garlic. Looking at reviews, I called the restaurant Emperor of India, to check if they serve without garlic food and they said yes. We went, captain's attitude while taking the order was not at all of helping his guest, his tone also was not of a restaurant chap serving you. we being habitual of dealing with intercontinental staff were expecting at least basic politeness in restaurant staff. he started with.... So....... What you have to order, simply not polite at all..... We ordered the food specifically no garlic....he promissed it will be without garlic. We ordered drinks, JD and Tequila each and daal tadka, mattar paneer, raita, plain roti, salad.... He turned up with butter roti and then offered to change to plain, trying to cooperate we said rest of the food will go cold so let's eat.....we started eating, mattar paneer was fine, raita was good, roti was fine, but daal had garlic which I had but my friend being allergic couldn't eat and he had his meal with matter paneer and raita, but as their chef did two mistakes we thought as good customers we should tell this to the captain and we did politely....but having his own attitude the captian started arguing, despite me telling him in start very politely that all is well and we will pay for everything, he went in to ask chef if he put garlic in daal and came out with statement 200% it's not there, questioning the pallets and experience of two 55 yr old Indians already in hospitality industry to save his chef, as his owner was also there. Unfortunately owners attitude was also very bad. Captain kept on arguing and went on and on despite me telling him many times that I am only telling him not to save money or anything, it was just a simple feedback.....but since he was defensive and trying to save his chef, he went on to become not only impolite but rude as well. In all very average ambience, just about average food, deliberate mistakes in bread order to increase the bill and on top of it absoutely impolite and rude captain and owner.....are a very good recepie to spoil one's evening.....absolutely avoidable as most of the good reviews are from europian and non Asians guests as they are not as aware of the Indian food tastes as Asians are and attitude of waiters and owner himself is racist, as they are prompt and fast in serving europians and serving Asians with very evident attitude as if they are doing a favor.....absolutely sad scenerio....rude and untrained captain.....certainly doesn't know how to serve...
Read moreOrdered food from wolt. One of the WORST Indian food i've had in Europe yet. I don't know how they are manipulating their Google reviews, but honestly ashamed that these folks are representing Indian food in another country. It wasn't even about the dishes I ordered - matar paneer was extra sweet, roti was like rubber, stuffed paratha still had raw dough the size of a thick pizza crust and uncooked for sure, biryani had corns in it(!!) And the paratha stuffing and the veggies in the biryani were exactly the same. Before ordering, delivery time was 25 mins, on confirmation it showed to be 36 mins, apparently the restaurant was "busy", and then the order arrived in just 15 mins! Little did I know the quick delivery was nothing to be impressed about. Everything was already pre-cooked, nothing was fresh, and just heated and delivered. Of course I cannot expect the quality I anticipate back home in India but this was just a mockery of Indian food and their kitchen needs a complete overhaul and chefs fired. WORST INDIAN FOOD EVER! Coming from an Indian. My vacation got spoilt because of their food. :') You will noticed there are only 1/2 reviews from Indians per 10-15 reviews, and very low 1-2 star ratings. I don't know how they're doing it, but it definitely does not provide the true picture of the food they're serving. Not even sure if my reviews will stay on Google for long or not, but I'm just doing you a service if you're reading it. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. If you think this is spam, feel free to message and I'll vouch for my review. I threw away the food...
Read moreWhere to eat the right food that is hard to find in Malta. All of foods were great and reasonable price, great atmosphere. Service issue with starred. Even after the starter was over, the servers were not interested in the table and the flow was stopped. Supplied after long wait and request. I ordered the Indian tea, but server said not able to order, because it takes time to make, so ordered any hot tea, and got that Indian tea. ???? I asked the bill, but server sent “not funny joke”, which did not to white women. My friend left tea, because she was full, server asked that she finished and he said he could put that tea in his mouth. Whoa, seriously? I couldn’t get the bill so asked twice. Server demanded tip when I tried to pay. White women right next to us might didn’t input tip, so I heard blunt "Why? Is there a problem with the service? " I didn’t wanna pay any tip for servers, but did it for next guests. Then, server sent different type of “not funny joke” again. I think y’all knows what’s the meaning of “not funny joke”. If you can’t say to white men, white women, Indian people, then NEVER DO THAT TO WOMEN who looks like ASIAN as well. Eat delicious food and feel little bit uncomfortable with the attitude of the servers. Of course these servers were much better than other restaurant servers in Malta though. If you servers can change those attitude, this restaurant will be the best...
