Originally we were headed to the restaurant across the street, but when my wife saw the very traditional side terrace, she insisted to eat there. Certainly didn't regret it. Besides the super-friendly staff (we got Rashib -I hope I spelled correctly - he is such a gentleman and kind person) the food was extraordinary. 1st time we tried the octopus stew and the fresh lamb, with baked potatoes (the chips/fries are frozen) The lamb was utterly delicious, super tender. The octopus as well, my wife loved it. 2nd time we tried the fish soup, my wife loved it that much, she didn't left one bite for me to taste it, and I asked for the rabbit stew. First time I ate rabbit, so I'm not an expert, but it was a very delicate, nicely seasoned, interesting experience. Don't make the mistake I did, to not ask for the traditional, homemade desert they have... Heaven on Earth... individually some random stuff, but combined together in a single bite. the pastry-like cookie, ice cream and halva...Holy mother of Jesus! Orgasm to your taste buds. All in all, too bad we discovered Gozitan only in the second half of our holiday. We will surely miss this place!

Ate here on a Weekday for dinner. I wanted my wife and I to experience authentic local cuisine which I think we did. They gave us a generous serving of table bread with butter and Tomato paste however the crust tasted burnt. We ordered the crumbed goats cheese, rabbit liver with honey balsamic vinegar, pig and grilled rabbit with garlic and olive oil. The goats cheese dish was pleasant. First time eating any sort of rabbit. The liver had a nice texture however tasted a bit dry. The honey and balsamic vinegar that accompanied it was 5/5. The pig was 5/5. The flesh was tender and the crackling was cooked perfectly. There just needed to be some sort of sauce. First time eating rabbit. It was a tad dry. The garlic was okay but I wish I had it with the honey and balsamic. Nice touch at the end was when they threw in some generous servings of nice desserts.

I can only review based on my experience and the menu I had. I had rabbit stew for the first time ever in my life. So I have no comparison to say it was tasty or not. Personally I wouldn’t give 5 stars, but worthy to try, meaning it didn’t smell strong, texture was quite tender, and marinated properly. The baguette before main dish was very hard.. it would’ve been nicer if it was softer so that I could have it with the rabbit stew. But the butter for the baguette was flavorful. I liked it. The staffs were nice, I didn’t find anything dirty or untidy, Visa card accepted, food was made not in long time, recommend to visit when not busy (before 6-7pm), the neighborhood is definitely not in good mood and vibes (if you expect water view, find other restaurants), interior is like old European style, homey which I felt very comfy. A.k.a grandmas home

5 stars fully earned! There’s an excellent reason why so many people applaud this restaurant: Superb Maltesian cuisine, exceptional customer service and a tranquil and delightful atmosphere. This was our favorite eating spot while in Saint Julian’s. Our taxi driver had highly recommended it when we inquired of the best places to eat. We were treated like royalty and even were provided dessert on the house, wow. My ravioli was absolutely delicious and we were simply delighted with every element of our dinner experience here. This trip was my first in Malta and this restaurant took amazing care of every detail of our experience. I was actually shocked at how well our needs were looked after, that simply isn’t something I’m accustomed to in 2019-2020. Many thanks, staff of Gozitan for delicious food and your kindness toward us off season travelers.

Nobody knows their job. No waiters,no manager, no chef. Waiters r so oscitant, ignorant, slow, emotionless, unprofessional. Start from opening wine and leaving the bottle open, had to ask for cooler when outside is +40°. Or nobody come 30 min or coming every 2 min different waiter to take plates while we r still eating. Because waiters not have their tables they just stay there, chat and ignore u or all together go on one table 🤦🏼♀️ Manager not Maltese, Indian, don't know what to do with customers. After complain for not tasty food, he just said ok and left. Chef don't know how to do potato mash, 90% of lumps...🤦🏼♀️ that is at extra charge of 3.5 And salad at €3.5 extra charge include 90% lettuce and few tomato. Any other place with steak will serve side salad, potatoes or roasted vegetables, here u have to pay extra. Do not recommend. Sorry

Waitress is extremely slow (one person serving five tables at lunch) and impatient when I was paying when I had been so patient with her. Even when she was free (when I was the only customer in the beginning), she just talked on the phone and left my food sitting there on the chef’s counter until she finished her call. It’s unacceptable service. They gave a free appetizer: some crackers and beans and salmon. Didn’t eat much of it. Also it defeats the purpose when everyone gets free dessert or appetizer. I’d rather you don’t make up the price for things I didn’t choose to eat, since it’s just a marketing strategy. I got the rabbit stew with baked potatoes. Both were well seasoned but extremely salty. Maybe it’s the cuisine but it was unbearable This is besides the point but their boss is so dilf lol and his doggie is so cute xD
