Le Majoliche — Restaurant in Saint Julian's

Originally, we had planned to reserve a table here on Christmas Eve, as the reviews were outstanding, and the restaurant was conveniently located near our hotel. We attempted to make contact over a month in advance through email and phone calls but unfortunately received no response. Initially unimpressed, we opted for a different restaurant on Christmas Eve. However, disappointed by our experiences elsewhere, we decided to give El Majoliche another chance.

Onsite, we spontaneously reserved a table knowing the team was difficult to reach by phone. We secured a spot, noticing that the waiter had noted "Chinese" in my reservation. This became clear later when the table was arranged traditionally Chinese, proving extremely convenient as we were accompanied by older individuals.

The service was excellent, and the fresh appetizers impressed us. Fortunately, one of the waiters spoke German, leading to pleasant conversations and making ordering easier for some individuals. The food was outstanding; the taste of the seafood permeated the pasta entirely. The pasta was al dente, providing an authentic Italian culinary experience.

Interestingly, on the Google reviews, there is room and location mentioned instead of the dining experience and ambiente. Despite this, the restaurant deserves a 5/5 for both. Criticizing this restaurant is challenging. The only minor point could be that while the seafood was fresh, it wasn't directly caught. However, this was hardly noticeable, as the food was prepared...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Le Majoliche, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. The food was a perfect 10/10, with an incredible selection of seafood that was both super fresh and imaginative combinations of flavour. I tried the pasta with prawn and pistachio pesto—a truly exciting and delicious combination that was bursting with flavour. The portions were generous, and every bite was a delight. To top it off, the desserts were heavenly. The tiramisu, in particular, was so creamy and indulgent that it left me wanting more.

While the food was exceptional, what truly compelled me to leave this review was the unique and unforgettable service. Our server, Calogero, was absolutely magnificent. His charismatic presence and friendly demeanor made the evening so much more enjoyable. It felt like he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for.

Additionally, the personal touches from the manager and even the owner, who made the effort to visit each table and ask how our evening was going, elevated the experience to another level. It’s rare to see such genuine care and attention to detail, and it made the whole evening feel special and personal. All the staff were professional yet incredibly friendly, which I truly admire.

Although this Ristorante/Restaurant is located very close to the City Center we have had problems to find it with the help of GOOGLE MAPS.

But after walking 20 minutes for a distance of 500 meters we finally found this Restaurant.

We have done a reservation and got guided to a table directly next to the kitchen.

The service was fast, friendly and attentive.

Fast we got the menu.

Daily suggestions were not offered.

Out of the menu we ordered TUNA TARTARE (15 €) and SWORDFISH AQUA PAZZA (19€).

Then we have received fresh bread with butter from the House!

The TUNA TARTARE was fresh and of good taste.

The SWORDFISH was a huge fresh portion in Tomato sauce.

What a pity that I have not found any spices on the fish and the Tomato sauce was not spicy at all and as well!

Later I have ordered a glass of GRILLO BIO (5 €) white wine from Italy.

It was of good taste as well.

What a pity that the second glass was not cold enough.

I got invited for a glass of this wine from the House.

The CANNOLO SICILIANO (4€) was of good taste.

Each table has table cloth!

The choice of wines is good and extensive.

I can recommend this Restaurant!
