My girlfriend and I had an excellent experience! We had a poor experience with seafood in malta previously due to small portions and stuff not tasting great but this was superb on both fronts! She is an incredibly big fan of seafood, i'm not really but still got something fish.
She got 2 oysters which were amazing, spaghetti with lobster which was really meaty and the spaghetti was well done.
I got a tuna steak with fries which was excellent, the tuna steak was well cooked and presented and was an enjoyable meal.My only very slight criticism i have is that fries could be a little more plentiful, but i ordered a refill because a portion of fries was only 2.50! I never do that in restaurants but I made an exception because they were so good and cheap. Don't take this as a sign that portions are bad though, maybe i just eat a lot.
I'm a big sweet tooth and for dessert we got the red velvet cake which was absolutely incredible! Really big portion for only €5, probably the best value dessert I've ever had.

Ideal would be to notify the customer that lobster goes with no sides or sauce and list suggestions of available options to choose from.
They were served after some time, so feeling is that this part of order was forgotten and only made upon second request.
I am in town for work, and was having dinner alone, so they suggested me far possible table off site. Is this usual practice? Not sure, but it is not pleasurable experience.
on the other hand staff was polite, and were checking quite often so I could not say was waiting too...
Seafood and desserts were so delicious! Omg chef, they are lucky to have you! We highly recommend this restaurant! We dined in at L’ostricaio Balluta twice on our recent trip as the food was so good and reasonably priced, once midweek and again at on a Saturday night. My food intolerances to onion and garlic were accommodated, which was much appreciated. A good selection of wines and cocktails too. The service was more relaxed on Saturday which was fine for us but I can see it being an issue for some people. Honestly it was worth the wait. The first visit we ordered the steamed crab, mixed oysters and calamari followed by the clam linguine and lobster with the cannolo and pistachio tiramisu for dessert. So good! The second visit we ordered the calamari and the sea bream carpaccio followed by the squid ink spaghetti and lobster with the tiramisu for dessert. A few repeats as we had to try them again! The pistachio tiramisu was the best I’ve ever had. Thanks...
