We booked a table here for 8pm following the excellent reviews we had read, and it was only a short walk from our hotel. We are a well - travelled couple and know the difference between good and unacceptable service & food. This place ranks amongst the worst Italian restaurant we have experienced anywhere. After a very nice welcome to a virtually empty restaurant, everything else was very, very poor. The waitress seemed badly trained or maybe just lazy, but after 10 minutes sat at our table, we had to ask for some drinks. We were given the grubby menu's and ordered our meals, which came to our table about ten minutes later. Neither of our meals looked at all appetising, in fact my meal ( Argentinian flank steak strips) literally looked & smelled like a small bowl of dog food and tasted worse. The other meal was slightly better ( Fried Cod from Ireland) but even that was very chewy and tasteless. Both dishes were obviously thrown together with no care whatsoever, After explaining to the waiter that the steak dish was disgusting and I wasn't taking a second mouthful, he immediately decided to argue and tried to talk to me like a 9 year old, explaining that "other people" like it. (Yes, that old excuse). There was no offer of a replacement meal no apology, no remorse, nothing other than a stubborn and flat refusal to accept the food presented was literally TERRIBLE. I have no idea how this place has got reviews scores of 4.9/5. Avoid this place - you have...

Absolutely shocking service and very average food. The waitress was utterly miserable and couldn’t speak English, we asked about the food and she couldn’t explain the dishes. After speaking with the male waiter she tried to use google translate and that didn’t make things any clearer. I understand the food is traditional Puglian but you have international customers and you need to explain the dishes. We ordered starters and they were ok, the plates were not cleared before the mains came, my wife ordered a pasta dish with tomato sauce and there was no sauce it looked burnt, we tried to explain that we did t know the dish was dried tomato pasta and the male waiter just kept saying this is traditional. My daughter ordered a flank steak dish and it came in a clay pot and was fried in breadcrumbs, again if they would of explained the dish she would not have ordered it, she had one bite and it was not good. Our meal and night was completely ruined, I asked for the bill and they tried to charge the full €175 even though we never touched 2 of the mains. I had an argument with the male waiter/owner for 10 minutes and eventually he agreed to take the 2 uneaten dishes off the menu, I’m my opinion he should have offered a discount as well. There are some amazing restaurants in Paceville and this is definitely not one of them AVOID...

Awful experience this evening with family. On arrival just shown to our table no words and no smile from the waitress. Ordered 4 starters they were ok very dry, prawns, bread meatballs, onion rings, calamari (this was good) Waited 20 mins for table to be cleared mins arrived whilst starters still on the table Asked for advice on mains just told they are good no explanations as staff only spoke Italian Pasta came it was burnt and flat iron steak served in a pot cooked in breadcrumbs Asked to send back waiter said this is puglian cuisine fair enough but no explanation provided despite asking prior to ordering Asked for bill tried to charge full amount despite returning 2 main dishes untouched Paid bill after we refused to pay for 2 mains Owner approached my husband with a shot of limoncello on our way out the door after trying to charge 175 euros Toilets were disgusting no paper and v unclean. 3 staff for whole restaurant How this place has 4.9 rating is beyond me so many better places with excellent service and staff who can communicate with clients Best to avoid...

We had visited Bari, Italy a few years back and my husband tried the spaghetti all’assissina for the first time and loved it. He was very happy to see this dish on the menu and was looking forward to trying it here. Note: this dish takes 30+ minutes to prepare and when served it is partially burnt and the sauce it is served in is also partially burnt because it is all cooked together. That is how it is supposed to be served. I just want to mention that so you know what you are ordering. Of course he ordered that dish and I ordered the whole baked potato with grilled Irish angus steak. Both dishes were good. I would recommend this restaurant if you want to try authentic Pugliese dishes, which can be somewhat different from common Italian dishes.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Malta. The restaurant is off the high street, so it's a hidden gem, but everyone should know what an amazing restautant this is.This is a family owned italian seafood restaurant and they truly care about your experience, recommending the best food, wine and making you feel at home. The food is absolutely amazing and very reasonably priced! All the seafood we had was incredibly fresh and delicious - octopus, tuna, swordfish, salmon, prawns, langoustine. Great Maltese wine list also. Absolutely the best meal, Maltese wine and seafood that we've had in Malta. Came back here twice and can't recommend it more highly! We would come back to Malta just for their mixed grilled seafood platter!

There aren’t enough stars to describe this authentic Italian dining experience! We visited in early December for dinner and quickly discovered a true gem here in Malta. From the warm and cozy atmosphere to the genuine care this family shows for their guests, everything was exceptional—a rarity these days. The food was absolutely superb. We chose to try the seafood, and every dish that came out of the kitchen was a masterpiece of flavor. For dessert, the white tiramisu is an absolute must-try—simply divine. Highly recommended! If you’re anywhere in Malta, make sure to visit this restaurant. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
