If I could leave a minua star rating, I would.
This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. My group of six, including two young children, stopped by for some drinks and possibly a meal. From the outside, the restaurant looked inviting and calm, with no other customers inside, which initially seemed promising with young kids.
When our drinks finally arrived, the waiter carelessly spilled ice directly onto my toddler’s head. He muttered a brief apology and walked off without checking if my child was okay.
The menu was disappointing, and with no children’s options available, we decided not to stay for food. When I informed the waiter that we’d only be having drinks, he walked away muttering profanity—completely unacceptable, especially in front of children.
Things only got worse when I went inside to pay. The bill for a few drinks came to nearly €40, which seemed excessive. When I questioned it, I was told there were two separate €5 service charges—because they had to push tables together for us, despite the restaurant being completely empty.
I expressed my frustration and said the practice was outrageous. I paid the bill but made it clear that I found their behavior dishonest and their business practices appalling. At this point, the staff member became aggressive, followed me outside, and attempted to confront me in front of my family and friends.
Absolutely disgraceful behavior. I strongly advise others to avoid this place...
Read moreOn a Wednesday night in low season I was the only guest in an empty restaurant. I was quickly escorted to my table and ordered the mixed fish and a glass of Pinot Griglio. The food arrived within ten minutes and the taste was alright. But the price (€26) was to high for the quantity on the plate. On small piece of swordfish, another small piece of tuna, one piece of octopus and two shrimps with some baked potatoes. And at €5 for only half a glass, the wine was expensive to. For that price, I can get a bottle of the same wine in a supermarket. Normaly wine in a restaurant is three or four times the price of wholesale purchase. Here it was at least six times. There were at least six members of staff, so I can understand that serving one paying guest is costly. But this was just to much. And to top it off, there was a service charge on the bill. I have experienced this in other countries in very touristic areas, but nowhere on Malta before. I always tip if the service is good and the service here was alright, so I would have left a tip. But that should have...
Read moreAwful place. The place was half empty but was told we cannot sit at an outside table. We insisted and were sat by the busy gate entrance. Took over 7 minutes to be given a high chair. Minutes later a rude Italian waiter asked us to move table to allow for a live singer. Why couldn’t we have been directed to a different table from the start? We ordered a bottle of sparkling water with ice and lemon. Took over 10 minutes to get our water bottle which was slammed on the table and he just left. We had to ask twice again for ice and lemon and after a further 15 minutes only one glass of ice was given. The lead waiter became argumentative and we decided it was best to get up and leave. Avoid this place at all costs. Zero customer service and very rude to some foreigners. We saw others getting preferential treatment right before our eyes (eg free bread basket!) which we were...
