Iāve been living in Malta for three years now, and as a big fan of your gelato, I often visit both your San Ä iljan and Sliema locations. Since Iām familiar with both, Iād like to share some constructive feedback, coming from a place of genuine appreciation for your brand.
Lately, Iāve noticed a slight decline in the overall experience at the San Ä iljan store. A few points in particular stood out: ⢠Unclear pricing: I often order a takeaway tub with four cones on the side, but the staff seems unsure about how much they should charge. For example, on one occasion I paid ā¬14.50 for a tub, and on another, ā¬22 for the same tub with just two cones. At the Sliema store, by contrast, Iām usually charged a clear and modest supplement of ā¬0.50 for two empty cones, which feels much more reasonable. ⢠Product consistency: Iāve also noticed a difference in the stracciatella flavor. In San Ä iljan, itās made with chocolate chips, whereas in Sliema, it has thin chocolate flakes, which I personally find more pleasant and closer to the traditional style.
I completely understand that small differences may arise between locations, but Iām sharing this feedback with the sole intention of helping maintain the high standards that Rivareno is known for.

I came here so many times that I canāt remember the counts . Ice cream is good , the price is letās say kind of justified for the quality, still expensive , considering 2 scoops are ā¬7!!!
The customer service is to say the least sloppy and disappointing. It happened multiple times that I was given wrong flavour. After adressing it I realised that employees have no idea of what their product actually is. The lids of ice creams are being swapped around and ice creams are not labeled properly.
Regardless they still feel it fit to explain that certain flavour is the one customer asked for. The more they explained the flavor the more I realized they have no clue of what they are selling. I hope that higher management can see this, cause not only that they are leaving poor image on somebody's hard work, but the money was refunded and ice cream served ended up in the waste bin.

The 2 French guys (sorry one guy and one girl) behind the counter could not speak properly in English and were speaking to each other in French. I ask if the can wrap it to carry the ice cream home and 'they don't do that service'. Instead of doing the whole order I just got the 2 cups they made and walked out. The ice cream was already melting when they were preparing the cups. I walked out with a melting ice cream all the way back. By the time I reached home (20 meters) it was good to drink. I worked as Italian ice cream maker in Germany for many years. I come from a long generation of ice cream makers in Italy. And I know what real Gelato is. I tried the ice cream and was awful. Full of chemicals and dyes. Not a traditional natural ice cream at all. You can taste the chemical powder while eating the ice cream. In the end an awful offense to italian ice cream...
