It's really good for date night, however...
I like Indian food, I have it fairly often. I was very satisfied with my chicken tikka masala and lamb rogan josh. The onion bhaji could have been more moist, but that could just be down to personal preference. It was all very pleasant.
The food and the atmosphere were very good and the prices seemed fair, really good for date night. However, soft drinks were not shown on any of the menu's, also, desserts were not shown with their corresponding prices.
A pint of Sprite and Fanta cost €8 (€4 each) and 2 balls of ice-cream is €4.50. I understand that you are probably paying for the atmosphere, but I would liked to have known exactly how much my drinks and desserts were before receiving my bill.
Also, the three staff that served me did not seem to understand English very well, it may have just been coincidence or bad timings, however I was served by three separate waiters and none seemed to be very proficient in English. This could have caused difficulty if I wanted an explanation for some of the dishes.
On the whole I had a very good evening and left satisfied, from my experience however, there is still plenty of room for this restaurant improve. If I come back again in the future, I will...
Read moreSimply scam. The food was tasty, but the service was terrible. I and my fiancee ordered nan and rice, and the waiter brought us some more expensive versions of ‘garlic nan’ and ‘polau rice’, which he then requested us to pay more. We complained and apart from nan and rice, pointed out that he also billed us too small amount for one of the dishes. He corrected the one last position by making the price higher (0,70 EUR delta), accepted our nan price complaint (0,20 EUR delta) and refused to accept correct rice price (1,75 EUR delta). This is not big money, but being cheated so bluntly does not leave good impression. We also noted that the staff tried similar tricks with other guest, by bringing him more expensive bottle of wine than the one he ordered. That one bottle also revealed how they treat differently their customers, being our next to guest attended appropriately every now and then, and us being left with no assistance, or even one waiter asking us if we are ok with the food served. Apparently if you spent much, you will be treated more or less right (yet still attempted scam), and if you order two simple dishes and beverages you’ll be treated like a pest. We will never visit this...
Read moreTerrible food in every aspect. Don’t be fooled by the reviews. I’m sure they paid people to make their restaurant top rated.
The bill for 2 persons was 86 euros! What a waste of money.
The food isn’t authentic Indian. The chicken kebab for sure wasn’t made in house and seemed to be one of the frozen foods from the supermarket.
The poppadams were cold and stale. We asked them to replace it, and after 10 mins we got exactly the same thing in another plate.
The naans were undercooked. The lamb curry was was from some other planet.
And the service was horrible! The got the cut onions after our food was over, and then they asked if we wanted to get them packed and take home? Really.. you wanted to charge us for a plate of onions??
My suggestion to everyone is to absolutely avoid eating at this place.
PS: I’m an Indian living in Delhi. And for sure I. Know what authentic Indian food is… even...
