I recently visited Hungry Horse in Malta after seeing the great reviews and appealing photos online. Unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the expectations set by these reviews.

Firstly, there was no indoor seating available. I had to sit outside on a busy, noisy street, which significantly detracted from the dining experience.

When my food arrived, I was quite disappointed. I ordered a chicken burger, but the chicken was completely burnt and tasteless. The fries were cold as well. The chicken was so overcooked that I had to use a fork and knife to break it down, which is not what one would expect when ordering a burger.

Overall, I was unable to enjoy my meal and left feeling dissatisfied. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Hungry Horse to others. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary...

Stopped by Hungry Horse for a quick bite and ended up having one of the best smash burgers I’ve had in ages. Juicy, crispy-edged, full of flavour — you can tell these burgers are made with love (and maybe a little obsession). The fries were spot-on too: golden, crispy, and dangerously moreish.

The only downside? I wasn’t the only one who thought the food smelled amazing — the flies outside were trying to book a table too! 🪰😂 Might’ve been a bit too “al fresco” for my taste, but once that burger hit the table, nothing else mattered.
