We ordered the Nacho Bowl Grande with meat plus the Brisket plate and 2 portions of zamussas. The food of Nacho Bowl Grande arrived completely smashed because they mixed all together. Obviously because the food was too hot the nachos became completely melted. They could have put them in a spareted box to keep them crispy as they did it with the 2 portions of zamussas. But they didn't. The day after I was passing there and I decided to tell them about the situation and when I suggested them to send the nachos in a separated box they answered me that was impossible because that is the way they use to do at the restaurant so they will not do it different for take away and also because that needs 2 different boxes and they can't be wasting 2 boxes. Then I decided to ask them why the 2 portions of zamussas where in 2 different boxes if they were the same food. In that moment the owner arrived next to me with very rude modals and shaute to me telling me that the nachos are like that because they want and that he was the owner and he almost kicked me out of the restaurant. Unfortunately it was too early and there was no one in the restaurant besides this rude boss and two waiters, so I don't have any witnesses, otherwise I would call the police and would make a report. My advice to all customers, don't buy any Nacho Bowl to take away here. And be careful with these...

My experience of Tex Mex wasn't fantastic, my wings where a reheated and dry assortment of wings that the waiter confirmed had been reheated and was not cooked fresh to order. (Despite fresh wings taking 10 minutes to cook) During busier periods I could perhaps understand this practise.
However what I cannot accept is a batch of wings which are hot on the exterior and cold in the middle. The reason I ate half of them was because I hadn't eaten since lunch and it was now 9pm. Knowing the chance of any food poisoning would be incredibly low I continued to eat.
The front of house team did indeed apologize and offer a fresh batch (the issue there is, you really only get one chance to impress a customer and that was unfortunately ruined) I was also offered a free drink, which again I politely refused.
The food service industry is a difficult one and one where second chances are few and far between.
I've raised my review to a two star on reflection of how the front of house dealt with the issues and responded appropriately.
So what I would say, is perhaps give Tex Mex a chance but do raise any issues...
Read moreIt was my first time at Tex Mex so I wanted to try their food and ordered Mexican style chicken. I asked the waiter if it comes with salad and he said yes.
The food was really delicious and a huge portion (which I couldn’t eat all) and once I had finished I looked down at my portion and noticed that in the rice that comes with the cghicken there was a short black hair (I have long brunette hair). I looked again and saw another one. Needless to say I was a bit disgusted as I had already eaten from this plate but didn’t feel comfortable to complain since I had already finished eating. Also my chicken came with vegetables not a salad as the waiter had told me.
Then the bill came and I noticed they added extra charge for vegetables (which I did not order because I wanted a salad). I asked a waiter and he explained that it does not come with them and it’s an additional charge. When I told him that I had asked the other waiter and he had told me that it does, his response was ‘sorry I didn’t take the order’.
Needless to say I won’t be eating here again although the food itself...
