Trattoria from Naples that opened recently in Saint Julian. You can eat typical neapolitan starters, different kind of pastas, pizzas and of course desserts. The food is really tasty and I liked it very much. Prices are high. For a pizza salsiccia and friarielli, a piece of lemon cheesecake and a beer Cisk, I paid 21 euros.
The atmosphere is really nice and at times waiters play the tambourine and they dance with the customers. For sure something different that I have personally appreciated. They really know how to brighten things up.
The service is a bit slow: while the food arrived fairly fast, waiters took a while before taking our orders. They have issues with their payment system as their POS machine does not work well and it took a while before we were able to pay with our cards. To be fair, they have just opened, so there is room for improvement, I will definitely come back, and I hope that I can change my...
Read moreI recently visited this place, while the atmosphere is ok if you are looking for something loud and rather wild. I was not impressed by the pizza, I've had much better in Malta at most pizza places. But the thing that upset me most was the fact that I was made to pay €45 for a bottle of a Primitivo which you can buy for €8 at the supermarket and for which I paid €28 the week before at a Valletta restaurant (same botte). Please be careful because there is no wine list and the waiter never told me how much is the price of this wine. I made a mistake on not asking him the price but as I mentioned above I had the same wine a week before at a better restaurant in Valletta and I paid €28 for it, so I assumed that I will pay a similar amount. The bill for 2 average pizzas a bottle of still water and the wine came up to €73. I was so shocked that I didn't even utter a word and paid the bill...
Read moreThis was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in Malta. First of all, it’s the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that charges for cutlery and bread – which is ridiculous.
We ordered some French fries, and when they arrived, they were cold. I politely asked the waiter to bring them back, and instead of handling the situation professionally, she looked visibly annoyed and was incredibly rude. The attitude from the staff alone was enough to ruin the experience.
The food itself was just okay, nothing special at all. For the high prices this place charges, I was expecting much better quality and service. It’s overpriced for what you get, and the overall experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
Definitely wouldn’t recommend. There are much better places in Malta for the same price or less, with far...
