It is April, 2nd in 2023. To find and reach this Restaurant was like a Scavenger Hunt/ paper chase! The reason was that downstairs were newly built. So the access was through the parking (house/garages). All of pointing and direction/directing was not done in a professional way and could be done much better! After reading all of it and walking the wrong way it took us 10 minutes to find the correct way down to this Restaurant. It was Sunday and we have made a reservation for having Lunch. Upon arrival fast we got guided to a table at the window with view at the new built stairs outside down to the seaside.

At once we have received the menu. Minutes later a waiter has presented a tablet with fresh good looking fish. The problem is that you don't get to know the final price if you make an order except that you ask precise for your individual order depending on the weight of the fish or number of pieces of prawns. All is connected with the weight. So my precise suggestions is: Before you make any orders ask precise for the final price. Ask to get shown the weight of the fish what even I have not done with my ordered prawns!

We have ordered prawn carpaccio= 17 €. The other main course was 6 small pieces of local fresh prawns with Fettucini (pasta) charged with 30 €.

From the house fresh bread was served. The bottle of water 0,7 l was charged with 4,95 €. Ice cream (2 balls) Pistaccio was charged with 6 €. Espresso was charged with 2,10 €. Good wines are offered! I have ordered a glass of Camenere red wine from Chile (0,15 l = 6 €). The quality and taste of meals is very good. The SERVICE is depending on who will serve you. All of the men who have served us made a good job. The waitress needs to get more and better trained!

The atmosphere and ambiance is good looking.

My subjective individual rating: SERVICE: 4 STARS PRICE AND VALUE FOR MONEY: 2-3 STARS QUALITY AND PREPARATION OF MEALS: 4 STARS LOCATION: 3-4...

Among many options Zeri’s stood out head and shoulders above. If you can, you should definitely eat here. The service is impeccable which humbly belies the quality of the food. In a word delectable. Every dish we had was elegant, delicious and prepared to perfection. Tuna tartare to start was a balance of rich fish and sharp capers and lemon. Fish of the day (red snapper) was filleted and cooked firm and moist with juicy and rich tomatoes. The vegetables were exactly right accompanying but not overshadowing the fish.

Then dessert… elsewhere I’d not have ordered as so often a disappointment. At Zeri’s they did put the same effort in. Chocolate fondant with chocolate and Baileys ice cream does not come close to a fair description for what arrived to our table. The ice cream was smooth with just enough sweet, the pistachio crumbs and the ganache were a treat and then the fondant itself… a tower of cocoa, fine sugar dusted and the fondant middle. The outer was just crisp keeping the shape and holding the rich smooth fondant in the middle. A spoon through revealed the care and practice put into making this a dessert worth ordering every time. This chef possibly is bringing back desserts single handedly. They have my support in this now.

Eat here. Save room for dessert! Listen to the waiters...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We recently had a team dinner at Zeri’s Restaurant, Portomaso St. Julian’s, and it was truly a fantastic experience.

For starters, I had oysters followed by octopus with garlic, hummus, and cherry tomatoes—tenderly cooked and bursting with flavor. For the main course, my colleagues and I shared a cippullazza (scorpion fish) served with potato wedges and grilled vegetables. The fish was wonderfully cooked and absolutely delicious. To finish, I enjoyed a rich salted caramel cake, which was the perfect ending to the meal.

We paired our dinner with Pecorino wine, which complemented the dishes beautifully.

The food was not only excellent but the service made the evening even more special. The staff were warm and attentive, and a special mention goes to Dario, who runs the restaurant with genuine passion, ensuring every guest is well taken care of.

Parking was also hassle-free, as the restaurant provides complimentary tickets for the Portomaso car park.

Overall, it was a memorable evening filled with great food, excellent wine, and outstanding service. I highly recommend Zeri’s Restaurant for anyone looking for a fine dining experience in...
