2 hours and 45 minutes from seating to paying the bill, about 25 minutes of this was eating and the rest of the time, either waiting for food or service. (Or trying to catch the attention of servers)
Seemed like staff were avoiding interactions with tables or choosing to do anything else.
We were offered drinks once throughout the entire night, they came in unopened cans and were left on the table until the end. We finally managed to get some water, but no clean glasses were offered either.
At one point, a man walked around hanging empty plant pots above the tables of people that had been patiently waiting like us. I’m still unsure why this happened.
45ish minute wait from starter to main course, every dish was a bit like when you accidentally swallow a bit of sea water. (god forbid you manage to pull a Liam Neeson and track someone down to tell them, under the worrying assumption it will be next week before you see any food again.)
After finally getting our main course plates taken away, we had to get up and walk over to a fridge with the desert in. (we were ignored when asking about desert menus and then sat for another 20 minutes or so, and this seemed to work for some sad children who were also waiting) a waitress came over to the fridge after a few minutes of us looking confused, and told us what they were.
Genuinely a good laugh after eventually finding the humour in how crazy and incompetent this place was.
After desert and with glasses that were empty because no one would take drinks orders, we finally got someone asking if everything was ok 🥲.
So yeah, 2 and a half hours or so in, we had to play Pac-Man to get to a waitress and ask for the bill, who said they couldn’t sort it out and we had to wait for someone else. The mysterious bill lady walked past us twice to do what seemed like put a small towel on some bread BUT FINALLY… she came over and we were released from the purgatory that is Apulia.
(It wasn’t busy and there were people that had the same experience on other tables who maybe didn’t find the humour in...
Read moreitalian flavors with a view, but decor needs a refresh
Stepping into this Italian spot, I was immediately struck by the panoramic sea views that promised a memorable dining experience. However, the interior design felt a bit disjointed, with Christmas-style lights in varying colors from one room to another, creating an inconsistent atmosphere. The bar area at the entrance also seemed out of place, detracting from the overall ambiance.
Despite these aesthetic hiccups, the culinary offerings were impressive. The chef’s special featured a secret pasta recipe that was nothing short of top-tier—rich in flavor and cooked to perfection. It’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in its dishes, delivering authentic Italian tastes that delight the palate.
I rated this experience 4 out of 5 stars primarily due to the interior design elements that didn’t quite match the quality of the food but also some of the waiters being unprofessional. Enhancing the decor to create a more cohesive and inviting atmosphere would elevate the dining experience to the next level.
In summary, if you’re seeking delectable Italian cuisine with a view, this restaurant delivers on the culinary front. With some improvements in ambiance, it has the potential to offer an exceptional...
Read moreI so wanted to give a 5 star, but the food was overall a disappointment. My husband and I went there for dinner. Atmosphere 10/10, service 8/10, starters 10/10, main course 3/10, dessert 5/10 Starters were delicious and the portion of beef carpaccio was huge. Then we ordered a fish and a angus steak. Steak was ordered medium, and we got a well done - total disappointment. For dessert we ordered a strawberry cheesecake and the bottom biscuit was so hard it was hard to break it with a fork. At the end we did tell the waiter that the meat was really overdone and he apologised. We decided to give it another chance by going to Leo’s pub which is in the same complex and the food comes from a same kitchen. We were so hyped by the decor and the views, that we really thought this is gonna be great. Everything was perfect until we got our burgers. We never had burgers as bad as these. My husband took the one with tartufata and I took an Antika burger. The meet was so compact and so overdone it was really hard to swallow. Tartufata was in traces so you could barely taste it. Not to metion the totally overdone egg. For drinks it’s a perfect spot as the espresso martini was delicious and the...
