Of course, it goes without saying that Tavio's ’’Pepe Nero - Shell Shack & Grill’’, is among the Maltese Islands’ finest.
Furthermore, the eatery (restaurant) is located in Trejqet il-Veccja, St. Paul's Bay, SPB 3630, a locality or vicinity noted for its awe-inspiring seascapes so it goes or comes with the territory.
We are accustomed to eating out at ’’Pepe Nero’’ on a regular basis on well-spent Saturday nights and therefore it is in this restaurant that we often gather for a nosh-up or an enjoyable family meal to our heart's content.
All credit to Tavio for showing great hospitality and the way he deals with his clients, restaurant regulars and repeat customers and the way he hosts, entertains and receives his guests in a way that makes them feel well taken care of.
One could also note that the restaurant proprietor, Tavio has a capacity to draw others into the spell of his charm but, most of all, he is renowned or known for his service with a smile that ignites a great customer service experience.
Accordingly, Tavio is always willing to go out of his way in order to make his clients and customers feel welcome in a willing way.
Not only can Tavio satisfy or meet your needs or requirements so efficiently but also suit to your own tastes and cater to your own needs.
His simple gesture radiates outwards into every aspect of his own catering business. Not only does Tavio's hospitality, leverage service to provide guests with the best experience possible but also his compelling charm speaks volumes.
It is no wonder that we are overwhelmed by such generosity and kindness. Characterwise (in terms of character), Tavio’s approach is admirable.
Hence, we were overwhelmed by the benevolence that the restaurant owner or proprietor, Tavio has shown to us.
Special thanks go to the restaurant proprietor/General Manager and his extremely cooperative management.
Consequently (for that reason), every diner and restaurant regular or repeat customer eating at ’’Pepe Nero - Shell Shack & Grill’’ can be overwhelmed by/with the industry’s highest standards of food hygiene when it comes to public health, food safety and service, not to mention the General Manager’s/restaurant proprietor’s outstanding benevolence and big-heartedness in relation to his staff management/line management into the bargain.
Speaking of which, we are in Tavio’s debt for his very warm welcome and cordial hospitality; and therefore (for that reason; consequently) we are looking forward to giving our thumbs up and seal of approval to him.
Dear Sir, your food is exquisite, your service excellent and your ambiance (the character and atmosphere of a place) is great.
You're doing very well, Keep it up!
All the credit, therefore, goes to him!
I would like to thank, Tavio for his excellent and superb service.
I would give this restaurant a five-star rating for its high-class catering service.
Above all, special thanks go to the staff management. I hereby enclose this review herewith.
I would definitely recommend or suggest “Pepe Nero - Shell Shack & Grill“ and its service to anyone across the board!

Read moreSo we decided to give this place a try as food on their social media looks delicious. We arrived at the restaurant at around 7pm and, as it was still sunny and very hot (13th August, 31°) we decided we dine inside for the AC. As soon as we got in, the heat was unbearable!! Only a few fans on and no AC!! Off course, you can imagine the heat as the place is all round with glass door like a green room! We decided to stay as they told us that they would put on the AC... Who host people in the middle of summer and do not put on the AC??? Anyway we sat and throughout the 1hr spent there, it was hot and it remained hot... I took a ribeye steak medium and supposedly char grilled but came out all wrong, no char whatsoever and the was grey from the inside, close to well done! The side veg was supposed to be grilled veg but to my disappointment it was caponata!! My partner had risotto with asparagus and it was super salty and definitely per cooked and heated! Not to mention the bread that he got in the beginning, if I had to throw a piece at you, I guarantee you that you had to go to hospital to do 3 to 4 stitches!!! Not even toasted wouldn't be that hard!!! A total disaster from start to finish... I don't know how they have the decency to serve that food to the customers... Horrible experience,...

We chose this place by chance, as we saw an Australian having a beer. Australians tend to know their pubs so we gave it a go. The beer was Cisk.
Got a table on the terrace and decided to try the food. A winning decision. Tapas dishes from the menu, a mix of local and international. We had an absolutely gorgeous bowl of corned beef hash (not the corned beef from school dinners of old) with a deep fried local cheese and a platter of potato wedges and chicken in a Thai red curry sauce.
Absolutely top notch food. Much to recommend it - that hash was rich and unctuous, redolent of the mountains. Wow.
There is also a bistro, which is downstairs on another level. The building upstairs didn’t seem to have any tables in for the bar - just the servery, toilet and a small model globe on a shelf.
I liked this place. Views, food, beer and atmosphere were all well on point. I would like something like this local to me. That would be superb. Well done to that random Australian...
