The Black Orchid - Tea Garden & Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in Sannat

If you’re visiting Gozo and only have time for a memorable dining experience, make it The Black Orchid. Tucked away in Sannat, this restaurant is an absolute treasure. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home.

The ambiance is relaxed and tastefully elegant, the perfect mix of upscale and cozy. You can tell the owner has poured heart and soul into every detail, from the lighting to the decor to the carefully designed menu.

I visited with family, ordering a selection from the unique and fantastic oriental tapas menu, every single dish was delicious, and the Aubergine fries were definitely a new one for myself, and being someone who usually doesn't enjoy Aubergine, am very happy to say that they are delicious and definitely something to be tried.

There is a great cocktail menu, which of course we delved into, and a wine list thoughtfully selected to go with the excellent flavours available on the menu.

Service throughout the evening was flawless, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable both in terms of the food and drink on offer but also of the local area and the island as a whole, positioning this establishment rather uniquely as somewhere to find a tasty cream tea, enjoy afternoon cocktails, dine out in the evening and relax after a day exploring the treasure that is Gozo.

The Black Orchid isn’t just a meal, it’s a memory. One that lingers long after the last bite. A must visit for food lovers, travellers and the local community.

Absolutely loved my time at Black Orchid on Gozo! The atmosphere is incredible—it's got this perfect, cozy vibe with amazing music that really sets the mood.

The cocktails here are on another level. I've been to a lot of bars, but the drinks at Black Orchid are truly something special. They're creative, perfectly balanced, and made with so much care. A must-try!

The staff and service were outstanding. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and our server was fantastic. They were incredibly knowledgeable and gave us some excellent recommendations for food, which made our meal even better.

And speaking of food, it was delicious! Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. It's a perfect place for a fantastic meal and a great night out. I can't recommend Black Orchid...

Enjoyed grazing on a delicious feast last night at The Black Orchid - Sannat’s newest & uniquely styled cocktail lounge/bistro - we enjoyed the vegan options available from the menu, (many items were gluten-free too), in the alfresco lounge area of the beautiful courtyard until the storm encouraged us inside into the cool air conditioned bar and lounge area! The food, drinks, ambience & attentive staff were all perfect. Nothing is too much trouble for the management and the staff. Located near tje Monumenr/roundabout just before the Ta’Ċenċ Hotel & Spa.
