I recently had the pleasure of taking a lunch at Bois cherish restaurant , and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I entered, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a memorable day. I would like to extend my gratitude, especially to Teena, for providing exceptional service throughout the night.
Every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch. The menu boasted a wide array of mouthwatering dishes, ranging from traditional favorites to innovative creations. The flavors were expertly crafted, showcasing a perfect balance of ingredients and seasonings. Each dish was presented beautifully, stimulating not only the taste buds but also the visual senses.

Read more"I'm curious for your maps review", Anika (name changed) said to me after we finished our meal. "oh, believe me, gold shall rain upon them" I said with a satisfied smirk on my face, so here we are: What I've experienced today was... unexpected to say the least. My expectations were humble, it was a tourism Hotspot after all, usually known for high output medium quality and confidently priced meals. I was wrong. What I've experienced today was one of my favourite restaurants visits, and not only on one, but on every level I can imagine. But first things first: we were greeted warmly and guided to a neatly looking table in the middle of the dining room. Now already, I must mention three things that very positively surprised me. First of all, the whole dining room was very clean and of fine build quality, which isn't self evident on Mauritius. Secondly, the spacing between the tables is very comfortable, which is surprising for a tourist oriented restaurant with high throughput. And Thirdly, there was the view. Oh the view was exceptional. Seated on top of a hill with a glass front towards the ocean... it was magnificent. Then there is the food of course. The food. It started with the obligatory appetiser that every tabel receives for free: homemade breadlings with tea chutney. My expectations for said tea chutney were low since I deemed it to be more of a motto gag regarding the tea themed restaurant, but again I was wrong. that tea chutney was the best bread dip I ever had in my entire life and I was disappointed they didn't sell it on the gift shop. The main dishes we had quickly delivered to our table, paneer curry and venison curry could however easily keep up with that. Especially my venison Curry which used local venison from their local enclosure. The taste was magnificent, strong in flavour and underlined with fresh coriander leaves. I could not get enough of it, I promise it was that good. Finally, there's another welcome surprise, which is the price: 690 MUR for my venison curry is remarkably inexpensive and seales the perfect restaurant experience.
PS: have cash with you, while you can pay the bill with card, you can't give...
Read moreSuch a peaceful atmosphere!❤️🌱 I've been lucky enough to come to this place a couple of times now!🤌🏾
The place is soo serene! Well maintained! Lots of farm animals - ducks, hens, little pigs, deers and if you are lucky enough you can see monkeys and cochon marrons!🥹🫶🏼
Tea tasting is honestly one of the best activities one can have there - Hot Tea in this kind of weather is PERFECT!!! Rs 250 per person for unlimited tea is fair enough if you spend quite a time there abd especially with good company☺️ The waitresses are lovely and soo helpful!
Another little activity, Rhum Tasting at Rs 100 for 4 shots🫣 which is divine for locally produced rhum - so worth it !!
The staffs at the restaurant are amazing! The little lady at the reception is very attentive and friendly!
Now coming to the restaurant - i personally found it a little too crowded and noisy The tables are so close that you can hear and see clearly the business of your neighboring tables - it was okayish until I saw one man gazing at my plate - that definitely made me so uncomfortable🫣 Anyways, my advice would be to maybe extend the restaurant area one day🥰 and probably spacing out a little bit😌 Starters were the best - salade ourite especially! Main course were a little mediocre to my likings
Am also not saying that a restaurant should be able to please 100% - just a little more of "value for money" - taste-wise especially☺️
Our preferred desserts were not available - i believe since we reserved for the second slot at 2.00 pm ( we wanted so badly to try the pannacota and the creme brulée ) - at that time only chocolate lava cake was available unfortunately😭 we would have ordered desserts first if only we knew🥹
You have a unique experience to share with both locals and tourists My views would be to slightly improve to make the restaurant less commercial Menu proposed is already so diversified and honestly makes you want to try it all☺️
Would definitely...
