Went on our first break for honeymoon. The staff, the place the food everything made it extremely memorable and heartwarmingly special for both of us. ||Been to many places . But i can't understand why this place wins my heart like no other did. ||The staff yes i agree they are laid back/slow at times. Its the way the setup was intended to give us the feeling of being disconnected from our usual fast pace hustle and bustle daily life. |Trust me the staff hearts, the way they always keep a smile with whatever you ask them gives me the better of what a 5 star could. ||This isnt a 5 star hotel where we expect staff to be at our disposal all the time. But the staff are caring about their work. When i arrived, the lady asked me ' is the room clean becoz we do our best to keep it the cleanest we can' and truly it was spotless.||I asked for second round of food - the staff happily brought it. No irritation or pulling faces. Genuinely happily they served us. |One of the staff 'Vaishaali', she is running non stop from the kitchen. Her energy and enthusiasm deserves a praise. |My wife told me 2 days after she still cant forget the faces of the staff. They live such a simplistic life and adheres to very simplistic hospitality guidelines which many might not find it ideal but that itself made us feel effortlessly happy. You know when you are in a 5 star they are making an effort to please you. We didnt feel that here and thats why i genuinely felt happy with their service. Yes its not instantaneous but they will help you. It was raining, the receptionist notice us and kindly suggested to us to use her umbrella.||The room is basic and brings you back to old days in mauritius where we had corrugated iron sheet roof. They cared enough to provide an AC. I didnt feel the heat even its december.||And the balcony view is just breathtaking. It is truly a place where we don't need any activities, TV, phone. Please make sure to switch them all off, lol. ||Hats off to the direction. Last but not the least, the chef truly provide food that are exquisite and delicious. My love for roti just went to another level. The menu arrangements are just great. Many lodges wont even be able to match this even 3 star hotels. ||Lots to be said but words wont be enough to describe the place apart from La case du pecheur we are...

If you're needing somewhere to disconnect from the busy work life, alongside internet and the miserable daily world news from your tv,then this IS definitely THE place for you! As the whole place does not have shared wifi for its customers, nor TVs in its rooms. For the ladies though, please do wear flat shoes, due to the rocky/sandy land in and around the place, as heels will break.

But was unfortunately very deceived by the very pricey cocktail at Rs 500 a small ish glass and also the Chicken with the Chef's Sauce Chasseur as the menu builds the dishes, only for them to taste basic, even though the cooking was delicious.

Crevettes Geantes : For Rs 600, great food, great presentation on the plate but by the time you've taken the shells off them, you're not left with much,unfortunately... 🤷🏾‍♂

So,what i'm saying is,when it comes to the main course menu, you could end up feeling a tad disappointed when choosing the Sauce Chasseur and the Crevettes Geantes. But other than that, waking up to the sea coming in and that absolutely stunning view of the wilderness and the mountain from your bed,is unbeatable. Definitely worth the stay for sure...

MOST IMPORTANTLY : Please bring your toothbrush, toothpaste, soap/shower gel aka toileteries as none of it...

Worst Experience Ever!||Do not Recommend!||Thank you again for ruining my Fiancé’s birthday!||1/ No one at the reception to welcome! We had to look where to do the check in ourselves. ||2/The girl who showed us our room did not even introduce herself. She did not even tell us anything about the property. Rooms are dirty. Kettle is unsafe to use as i had to hold it so that it can reach the electric socket.||3/ As we were celebrating a special occasion, i made a request 5 days earlier for a special set up for our dinner and THEY FORGOT. Apparently got a bug in their system 😂||4/ Food for Dinner was a disaster. They brought main course first then starter. Requested for Menu card, Chilli sauce, Ketchup more than 3 times. ||5/ Power-cut at Night is a normal thing as per the staff. It was a hell sleeping with no A/C and there were Lizards pooping everywhere on the Bed. ||The good side is that we had a Good Breakfast, one of the staff was a bit more hospitable. But although he did his best, i will never go over there and i will also not recommend anyone to go.||Leaving that place was a great...

La Case du Pêcheur offers a rustic charm with an absolutely stunning view. However, recent renovations have left the yard in a state of disarray, with garbage as eyesore in corners of the yard. The contrast between the beautiful setting and the poorly managed aftermath is disappointing. Despite the external chaos, the staff is absolutely warm and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The simple, delicious meals, particularly the fresh fish and calamari , are a highlight of the stay. Unfortunately, the lack of basic amenities, such as water supply for showering, significantly impacted the overall experience , the water tank being empty , we had to wait before being able to take a shower ! The owner should prioritize better maintenance and ensure that guests have adequate water supply. Additionally, replacing worn-out bedsheets would contribute to a more comfortable decent stay. With proper attention to these issues, La Case du Pêcheur could truly be an amazing place. The potential is there, but it's currently being overshadowed by neglect and poor management.

A Beautiful and Unique Stay in Nature I stayed here for two nights with my best friend, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The place is stunning, with charming guesthouse-style rooms. Each accommodation has its own terrace over the water, offering a perfect spot to observe the surrounding nature. I personally loved everything about it, but if you're afraid of insects and other critters, this might not be the ideal place for you. Nature is very close here—you can watch for example crabs during low tide, and insects are always around. Of course, this is not a flaw of the accommodation itself but simply a part of being immersed in nature. The staff, the lodging, the restaurant, and the views were all absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates nature and a unique stay. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Case Du Pecheur!
