Chill Out Resto — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

Nice decorated restaurant which we visited before checking the church and surroundings. Restaurant was empty for lunch. The waiter came quick with a la carte menu but warned us that one of the dishes wasn't available.

After a while, we decided what to have and when he took the order, mentioned that one of the stuff wasn't available (different to the one he already warned us about). After that, we felt rushed to check something else quick and suddenly he decided to check if the other stuff were available. It was a very confusing interaction and after that, it took him ages to bring us two drinks and the food.

Food was ok but not really delicious. I ordered octopus which was very chewy and struggled to cut and eat. Half way a big group arrived and he seemed to totally forget about us and just focus on the other group. He looked so overwhelming for the whole situation. After a while waiting for him to remove our plates and requesting the bill, we needed to stand up to be able to pay as he didn't come back.

Service and food need to improve although location and restaurant ambience...

Honestly disappointed!! I read almost half of the reviews before going to that restaurant,everything seemed amazing. My biggest disappointment and waste of money!! My fiancé and I took a calamar croustillant,it was okay and the calamar was fresh ones, but the main plate,we ordered prawn in garlic butter with salad and chips. This was the worst ever. The salad was sweet,no salt and pepper was given to us,how can you eat a sweet salad? A lit bit of sweetness is good but that was exaggerating,the chips was too fried it became brown and it was soggy, not crispy at all,I even got an allergic reaction with the prawn!!! I know it was not cooked well because I do eat prawns at home and I never get allergic reactions. The service was amazing,the waiter was so kind,so professional. What a disappointing children's birthday.

We booked a children's birthday party, 31 kids with 17 accompanying parents.

The owner Jeffrey offered Rs 500 per person (we prepaid the full amount) for our requested simple menu and services.

Upstairs room Tables and chairs Service staff 48 x food and drinks: Chicken nuggets French fries Mini Pizzas Chocolate and strawberry ice cream Coke, Sprite, water, fruit juices

Delivered: Fried chicken stripes (not nuggets) French fries Eski drinks

Instead of serving ice cream to the children, a box of coffee(!) and strawberry ice cream was given for take away at the end of the event.

None of the ordered drinks nor mini pizzas were served.
