Well, the restaurant is found in a quiet place by a canal of fresh water 💦 and a greenish garden with colorful flowers. You can enjoy the serenity while having your food. Maybe that is why Chez Manuel is quite famous as it is far from the routine of noise and pollution. The inside of the restaurant is not an extended luxury but it is a big place in itself. Manuel has perfected the art of fine dining in Mauritius. If you want to impress someone, bring them to Manuel!
The staff is always smiling and very helpful. The place is spotless, luxurious and quite spacious with ample parking.
Food doesn't (usually) take ages to be served and is reasonably priced for its quality. I've often seen government officials dine there in non-formal contexts.
My only complaint is that the menu has remained static for more than a decade. I would definitely visit more often (I visit Manuel about once a year) if they updated their menu more frequently.
