The Old Brothers Ltd — Restaurant in Tamarin

I have tried the food once, which was nothing special. I have had better so won’t be coming a second time. However it is worth mentioning the manager or owner’s rude behaviour. People who have been there know that parking spots in the area are very limited. There are other restaurants and shops in the same building and The Old Brothers is situated in a corner and just in front of a public road. I was taken aback when a woman snapped at me without either saying hello or excuse me and said « Are you going to Sketch ? » (which is a coffee shop in the building). Parkings were all taken at this moment so I had parked on the public road near The Old Brothers. I replied « yes » (not that I have to justify my whereabouts to a stranger) and the woman replied « You have to move your car if you are not going to eat here, you’re just in front of my restaurant ». I answered « well Madam I am parked on a public road which is completely legal ». The woman snapped back and literally shouted in front of all the clients sitting on the terrasse « Move your car !! ». Not to make a scene and because I was accompanied by my mother I moved my car, but promised her to leave the review she deserved. Dear Madam if you have beef with other restaurants it doesn’t allow you to disrespect others. You could have gently asked but you chose to be unnecessarily rude and you shouting in front of all your clients was uncalled for and in my opinion gave you an even worse image of yourself and bad publicity to...

First time customer. Really impressed by quality and uniqueness of food and the price. Excellent and quick service, and very friendly manager.

Quiet atmosphere, tables reasonably distanced from each other, kind of makes it feel more "private" to have a conversation.

-1 star overall because the proximity to the main road tends to raise some dust that gets deposited on the tables, and should have been regularly cleaned by the owner before seating customers.

Update Aug 2025 - food quality still excellent but wait time was slightly long at a time where there were not many customers. Still...

I recently enjoyed a beef brisket burger and it was a culinary delight. The brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful, showcasing a perfect blend of smoky and savory notes. Paired with crispy fries that were golden and perfectly seasoned, it made for a satisfying meal.
