Bananas Bar — Restaurant in Aguascalientes

Short review: my best food experience in Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes. Definitely a must visit if you're in town.

Detailed review: I honestly found this gem by accident when someone suggested this place. I had seen the main entrance before but never caught my attention, to be honest. I missed a lot. Don't let the tiny, modest, kind of old entrance mislead you like with me, for this is truly amongst the best experiences I've had in the whole Aguascalientes state (and now my top one in Rincón de Romos).

Great service, not just from your assigned waiter but truly everyone walking by was asking if we needed anything else. Always with those authentic smiles, the ones you see on people who love their jobs and are enjoying serving.

Great, tasty food - for example the meat for the burgers comes from a house recipe, not a frozen and grilled meat. Portions are bigger than other places, be prepared/hungry.

Great music. I loved the 80s and 90s vibe and just the right volume where you can enjoy the tune while also chat with your friends.

Great ambient overall, really. Although some chairs could be more comfortable they are still fine.

Restrooms were clean the last time we visited on April 2023.

Takes credit card, which is now a must for me. Anything but American E, I believe. Prices are astonishingly affordable, I honestly thought it would say more expensive than it actually was.

Again, you won't be disappointed. The one downside is the waiting for a table...

No es la primer ocasión que asisto a este lugar, es muy agradable el lugar, limpio y cumplen los aspectos de sanidad, tiene dos plantas, en la parte superior hace bastante calor. Tiene aspectos muy buenos como lo son los desayunos, comidas, bebidas y postres que sirven. Los desayunos son muy ricos, preparados al momento, y diría con facilidad que son bien servidos. Las pizzas, papas preparadas y hamburguesas son muy ricas (es lo que más consumo, hay más comidas pero aún no las pruebo), las sirven calientes y el cocinero(a) hace excelente trabajo con lo que presenta. Ni hablar de los postres, desde que los vez en la vitrina se antojan, muy bien cuidados los detalles al servirlos y de verdad se antojan con sólo verlos. Las bebidas son buenas (no he probado todas), pero en general se defienden.

Lamentablemente, se tiene que hablar del servicio de los meseros, es la segunda ocasión que me ocurre; la señorita que está en la entrada te recibe muy bien, pero al estar atendiendo el teléfono se distrae. Estuve esperando alrededor de 10 minutos para que me dieran la carta, tal vez no se dieron cuenta de que había entrado, pedí lo que iba a consumir y sorpresa, llega otro mesero, preguntando si se me ofrecía algo más (al parecer creyó que ya había terminado), pero aún no me habían servido lo que pedí; la comida se tarda un poco en llegar (razón, se prepara al momento), y de verdad es rica. Al momento de pedir la cuenta, no hubo ningún problema, pero al momento de pagar, se tardaron más de 10 minutos en llevarse mi pago, el mesero que lo recibió la olvidó en otro lugar, hasta que amablemente otro mesero la llevo a cobrar, pero lamentablemente se tardó más, razón por la cual, tuve que ir a buscar mi cambio. Deberían tener cuidado en estos detalles, porque la comida es rica y el lugar es bueno, pero el servicio...

It is very calm and it has very dim lighting which is completely relaxing. The food is great! But their bakes potato needs work because it was drenched in butter and oil. My rib eye was excellent. I really enjoyed...
