We arrived just before lunch and were told we’d need to wait 15–20 minutes for the kitchen to open. That was fine, but during that time, no one offered us water, drinks, or even acknowledged us again. We just sat there, waiting.
When we were finally able to order, service remained slow and disorganized. Curious about the restaurant’s Michelin recognition, we asked our server about it. She informed us it had been for a drink they no longer even serve — not exactly what we expected.
It took a while just to get our lemonades and water. Eventually, we ordered cheeseburgers. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive. The fries were excellent, and the burger was tasty — but then things took a serious turn: I bit into my burger and found a piece of metal wire inside.
We flagged down a different waitress, who said she’d speak to the kitchen. Ten minutes later, she returned, took the burger without a word of reassurance, and disappeared. Another 15 minutes passed before she brought out a replacement — again, without an apology, without a manager checking in, and with no clarity on whether the item was removed from the bill (it wasn’t).
There was zero acknowledgment of how dangerous that situation was. No apology, no comped item, no ownership. Just a shrug and long delays. On top of that, service throughout was inattentive. Nobody offered refills. It was hard to get anyone’s attention as the staff seemed more interested in chatting and scrolling their phones than actually serving tables.
We came here based on glowing reviews and the Michelin mention, expecting something special. Instead, we got one of the most frustrating dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. We won’t...
Read moreHonestly I prefer to tell a restaurant in person if there was an issue, however we were not asked « How was your meal? » and so I feel like the opportunity was not there to explain how we felt about the meal and the service. We fell in love with the brand Agricole in San José del Cabo and I was excited to see that there was a restaurant in Todos Santos and wanted to try. I was however disappointed and these are my comments: We waited 5 minutes when we arrived for the staff to come to speak to us and then they didn’t have my reservation. Service was slow and we didn’t feel like the servers were paying attention to us The wine I wanted to order wasn’t available and the server suggested another one in its place that was more expensive but none at the same price Our table was facing the bar where there was a constant accumulation of dirty dishes and empty bottles right in front of us as the servers were dropping off everything there. We mentioned that it had bothered us but were met with no real explanation and defensiveness instead of any type of apology. We ordered 2 different plates of pasta and were told that one of the pastas had to be changed as it wasn’t available anymore, but at the same price and then when we received the plate it was the original pasta ordered. My plate of Orzo was delicious but the amatriciana was missing the authentic flavor and chili flakes that make it an amatriciana.
However: The place is beautiful The...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious! We came here on a Sunday evening before returning home from a couple weeks in B.C.S. The restaurant was not too busy and the service was impeccable. We had some outstanding cocktails and ceviche to start which were all incredible. The real star of the show were the duck tacos. These generously portioned duck confit tacos packed a flavour punch and were served with a decadent plum style sauce. Just Devine! We also had the lamb meatballs which came in a wonderfully flavourful sauce and served with fresh pita brushed with a buttery herb spread. The meatballs themselves were slightly overcooked and a bit dry unfortunately. We tried the strawberry pavlova and some carajillo (coffee cocktails). Which was a perfect sweet and light end to the meal. Sure you will pay higher prices here but if having a culinary experience is something you are looking for this place is worth...
