This was our first time in Mexico, and this was first place we stopped to eat (and we’re so glad we did!). The location feels secret and magical, with the biggest cactus I’ve ever seen welcoming you as you walk in. We were greeted by Donna (spelling? sorry!) who made us feel so incredibly warm and welcomed. Our first experience eating here really set the tone for the rest of the trip. We came back multiple times and was never disappointed. The burritos are huge, the tortillas were amazing, and the ingredients were fresh. Everything was delicious. If you’re not into tortillas you can also get it served as a bowl. Even though we were walking distance to this place, we always chose to eat there to enjoy the peaceful and unique setting. I think they said they’ve only been open for about a month at that time, and I hope they are able to stay in business for many many years to come. Make it a point to stop here if you’re in the area! Side note: we initially tried using Google maps to locate the restaurant from the highway. It took us down a suuuuper rough dirt road which our small rental car begged us not to go down. It said we arrived but there wasn’t anything in sight. We abandoned that quest and started driving to our house. Luckily we spotted it on the road while driving and pulled over. If you’re headed from the highway to any of the main spots near Cerritos (Kimberley’s, Shakas, etc) you’ll pass...
Read moreCame here for an early dinner as it was recommended. Not very easy to find, so keep looking. I was greeted by 2 dogs who barked at me on my way in. The owner then came out and calmed them down and was very helpful in ore de ring waht I wanted - A chicken burrito bowl which I was going to eat in. Then came a woman with 2 kids and 2 young dogs, noisily ordering her stuff, while her dogs and the owners 2 young dogs then proceeded to go everywhere and it didn’t seem like it was going to be peaceful there at all, so I asked to be able to have the food ‘to go’,which was fine. The food then came out within 5 minutes and I paid the 160 Pesos and went The food was a good quantity, but I did find it was quite salty (I think it was the beans) so it over-powered the rest of the meal, unfortunately… I was replied to by the owner and kindly offered another meal to make up for my ‘experience’. I returned today and took u their offer and am pleased to say the meal was much improved and very tasty - so quality and quantity was very good and excellent value for...
Read moreThere is nothing I didn't like about Baja Burritos! A very quaint little place with outstanding food. The owners were very cool and it was very obvious they work very hard to provide fresh, locally sourced food. My wife and I both got beef barbacoa bowls and they were amazing and definitely won't leave you hungry. If I'd been in the area longer I'd definitely have been back regularly.
As one other review noted it's a little tricky to find, just go to the Brody market and there is a little lane beside it that leads down to...
