We can't get enough of Gastroteca Azul. We always start off and end our Loreto stay eating at Azul. They offer such thoughtfully prepared dishes, and all are unbelievably delicious. We were so blessed to celebrate our Anniversary in Loreto at our ultimate favorite restaurant. We were treated so well and Juliann introduced us to a wonderful and celebratory Italian Prosecco that paired amazingly well with our food. Can't rave enough. A must dinner destination.

Definitely worth visiting. Outstanding service. Excellent salads. They had a shrimp and risotto special entree that was a confusing blend of Italian and spicy Mexican, but ambience, location, cocktails, and service compensated for that one-off culinary experience.

Amazing! Best burger and fries I've ever had, burger and fries? YES. Served only on Fridays and Saturdays. Seafood is also incredible. Service is a 10 as well.

If you are looking for a "taco and burrito" Mexican restaurant, this isn't it. This is cosmopolitan cuisine that is hard to find in most parts of Mexico. Credit the chef/owner's experience at a variety of quality restaurants before he and his wife opened their own in the Nopolo area of Loreto.

The decor is a blend of modern and rustic yet it stays simple and inviting. All of the materials are high quality and comfortable. The glassware and dishware are all hand selected to showcase the food and drink. No detail was overlooked. The most impressive thing is the modern kitchen on display as soon as you walk in. It is somewhat of a rarity in Mexico but the ability to observe and interact with the chef is a huge bonus. We had the pleasure to learn from both the chef and his wife how passionate and dedicated they are to their product.

On to the best part, the food! The menu is seasonal so it will change. We tried several dishes at two different visits and were extremely happy with everything that passed our lips! One of the most delightful was a simple strawberry meringue cookie with fresh strawberry and basil dessert. Not only was it unique, it was a perfectly refreshing finish to our wonderful meal. The starters and mains were all just as great; lamb meatballs with house made pita and yogurt, crispy pork belly, orange carrot soup, garlic sautéed mushrooms, fresh catch over house made spinach pasta and a minimally seasoned (as it should be) ribeye. Every dish was perfectly assembled and seasoned. The combination of ingredients were not by accident. The chef's attention to detail shows in every dish as he not only hand selects the right amount of garnish and accompaniments to the main item, he places it with exacting care. The man is a perfectionist and very proud of his work!

The most encouraging part about this experience was finding out that the chef is dedicated to working with local growers and ranchers to improve the quality of their products. This is a win-win for everyone.

We are looking forward to our next visit to this part of the world and...

Our family had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant in Loreto, BCS, and it always exceeds our expectations. With only a few tables available, it is important to make a reservation to ensure seating for dinner.

What sets this place apart is the personal touch brought by the owners, a delightful husband and wife team originally from the U.S. Their passion for food and dedication to creating a unique experience shines through in every aspect. I would consider this the best restaurant in Loreto, Mexico.

The menu has a delightful fusion of flavors, showcasing a thoughtful selection of dishes. I couldn't resist trying the Lamb Chop which was cooked to perfection. The attention to detail in preparation and presentation was evident, making each bite a culinary adventure.

Beyond the delicious food, the service was outstanding. The owners' warm hospitality made us feel like a welcomed guest in their home. It's evident that they pour their hearts into every aspect of this establishment.

If you're in Loreto and looking for a hidden gem with a personal touch, this restaurant is a must-visit. A heartfelt thank you to the owners for an unforgettable dining experience. We'll be sure to return on...

It was our first time eating here and it was so excellent, we ate here the following night. We enjoyed an amazingly fresh salad with a vinaigrette dressing that was delicately tossed with the greens, thinly sliced turnip, tender green beans and dusted with cheese. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine from Valle de Guadalupe. My friend had the special, prawns - prepared with ginger and I ordered the catch of the day (cabrilla/sea bass) served over mash potatoes with beautifully grilled baby zucchini, carrots, asparagus. We were too full to order dessert. However, on the second evening we shared the same fresh salad and an excellent ribeye steak, with mashed potatoes and same beautiful veggies (wished I had taken picture to share). I also ordered one of the best dirty martini’s that I have ever had served with two stuffed olives. We each ordered dessert, lavender brûlée and gf carrot cake with a special pineapple and mango compote - truly fantastic.

Reservations are required for the restaurant and the service, ambiance is lovely. We’ve been vacationing in Loreto for 5+ years but only became acquainted with the community of Nopolo last year. Any future visit to Loreto will include dinner at...
