Yet another amazing meal was had at Hierbabuena! Fantastic service, creative cocktails, and a delicious menu we couldn't help but over order from! We arrived with small appetites but still ordered the delicious guacamole plate to start. Admittedly, we felt very American for each ordering pizzas from their wood fired oven but, we're so glad we did - the flavor combinations were like none we've seen stateside! Because we weren't all that hungry, we knew we'd be leaving with the leftovers which made for a perfect picnic lunch on the beach a few days later! Finally, when there's dessert to be had, no matter how full I am, I cannot pass up the opportunity. Besides, that's what the dessert belly is for! The coconut flan was heavenly! As we arrived just after dark, we didn't get to take in the full experience and walk their kitchen garden but could see that it's absolutely lovely! Many reviewers recommend going at sunset and walking the garden before your amazing meal. I'm sure they would allow one to do so with one of their fantastic cocktails in hand as well! We will definitely be...

Hierbabuena was amazing. This farm to table experience was great, the ambience was lovely, and we loved the open air kitchen that connected patrons to the food/staff.

For our mains, we got the fresh fish, the flank steak (*incredible chimichurri sauce!), and the enchiladas, along with a beet salad shared among 3 adults. The spicy passion fruit margaritas were also delicious.

Nice to see farm to table principles alive and well in Pescadero!

The one downside we encountered was no booster seats or baby chairs for infants/toddlers. Luckily, we were 5 minutes from our airbnb so were able to hustle back and grab it. Dinner would have been a lot more complicated without it, and I'd suggest they purchase one or two for...

I should have read the reviews before coming back. It used to be flavorful and we used to drive for over an hour just to be here but I am glad we were staying around and didn’t have to drive much. The food used to be amazing and now it really lack flavor. They have the same recipes from when they open and they were big hit but I guess they got bored in the kitchen or something. Don’t get me wrong it is not bad but it is very deceiving as it used to be soooo good! Also service used to be more friendly. Also drinks used to be amazing and they are not the same. Too bad :( The atmosphere remains really nice and relaxing thought. Also I forgot to mention, they have no...

A great little dinner spot nestled in their very own expansive gardens. We started out with their guacamole which comes with two salsas as well, you can definitely taste how fresh all the produce really is! For dinner we shared the carne asada and the chicken enchiladas. The enchiladas were delicious and I would highly recommend. The carne asada had amazing flavor however the steak itself was a but overcooked and chewy. All the fresh veggies served with the dishes were great. The cheesecake was good but I was not overly impressed with it, I would probably go for a different dessert selection. All in all a great little spot.

Hierbabuena was fantastic. The ambiance with the garden and outdoor seating was perfect. Casual, but still classy. The menu had a ton of items we were interested in, and the cocktails and wine list didn't leave us wanting either. We went to Jazzamango the night before, and this was a pretty similar vibe and setup. We loved both, but I think I'd give Hierbabuena the slight edge (though both are 100% worth going to if you're in the area). It was pretty cold in early Feb, so there were a lot of people using blankets, but they had a lot of them available, so that was definitely appreciated. Strongly recommended!
