Following a spectacular drive off the main highway, which included stunning vistas, we arrived at the lovely little fishing village of Agua Verde. As had been recommended by others, we had lunch at Puerto Bello Restaurant. A little family run business at the north end of the beach. What a wonderful find! The family were super friendly and served up the best fish tacos I think I've ever had! And believe it or not, the beer was cold! Quite an accomplishment where you're off-grid! Read moreWonderful, family-run restaurant. We stayed in one of their palapas for 4 nights and ate dinner each evening in the restaurant. By the time we left, we felt like part of the family.
The food is excellent and fresh. Often the fish has been caught and cleaned only a few hours before serving. The tortillas, both flour and masa, are made upon order and are extra delicious. (And we live in Tucson with many excellent tortillerias.)
We’ve been traveling around B.C.S. for over a month and this has been one of our best experiences.
